For those who don't know, in classical fine arts, it's often discouraged to use pure white paint in a composition. Yea. They're also taught to use lighter colos of the surroundins instead of pure white in realism art because in a lot of things, that's how light works (kinda? Idk I'm bad at explaining)

My art professors always taught us the "rules". I was a rebel and broke them all and was the top in all my art classes. 😂 if it makes you're art better I'm all for it. Art is subjective there shouldn't be rules attached~!
