Oil Painting: Different Tubed Brown Paint Options

Much like any other color, there are almost endless selections of brown paints. This video demonstrates a few different paints that I happen to have on hand so you can make a better informed decision on your next purchase.

I like the asphaltum too. It seems to work when I try to use it in landscapes whereas the the others don't always work.

You're right ... side by side comparison is good. That you haven't added that inane background music everyone seems to be using is even better. Keep at it; your efforts are appreciated. It'd be interesting to see your artwork where you used a good bit of asphatum.

Thank you sir. I have an earlier video about starting a new painting that will ultimately be an Angel vs Demon painting. The only color used so far on that one is the Asphaltum. It is a good representation of what it can do.
