Fun fact: 2100’s tender was originally behind 2101. After 2101 was damaged in the roundhouse fire in 1979, her tender was swapped with 2100’s original tender. And after 2100 was first restored in 1989, 2101’s original tender was also restored. So that proves that if 2101’s original tender can be restored to operation, than the engine itself can be restored mechanically too.

2100 is another steam locomotive that I hope soon to see running, after this restoration is complete.

How big is Reading 2100’s Smoke Stack?
@mpowell4030Ай бұрын
I hope you guys plan on keeping the old stuff for both historical significance, plus the possibility of making her a coal burner again in the far future.

The stoker motor, screw and components are being properly stored on-site. The grates for sale are surplus and beyond reasonable reuse in the locomotive.

It looks like you would use a lempor nozzle with a cylindrical smoke stack? That is not the best Option, with a calculated conical smoke stack you have better results. I believe, it could be difficult , to find a god dimension for all parts on this big loco with a single Stack. I wish you good luck for this.
