With the price of gas these day, I decided to start driving my 1999 ranger 2.5l again. It only has 93000 miles but I noticed the oil sending unit was working. I bought a new one but was not sure where it was located. Great video for the DIY ers. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect, I'm needing to do this myself. My gauge keeps flicking off and on.

I'm assuming yes but mine's a manual and the gauge just drops when/during shifting sometimes. Is this the early signs of the same issue? Also, would removing the wheel improve access even more or not necessary? normally i don't do more than change my oil but this looks fairly straight forward. those who've done it think so?

Thank you, Sir. I've been looking for that. Do you know if it's the same location for a 2001?
