I literally just ordered a new pump and piece for my 372xp. Came across your vid and it’s by far the best one I’ve seen! Cheers from Canada eh 🇨🇦🍻👍

This kind of video will get you many more views on KZbin, IMHO. I am certain there are always many people looking for specific information on a certain model of chainsaw. I think the key to a good video is an accurate title and edited to be about 4 or 5 minutes. Seeing how you get parts off and back on the chainsaw is very very helpful. It is the kind of information that a manual (if you can ever find the manual for your one-off freaking saw!) cannot provide. There is no substitute for experience and that's what you have.

Thanks for the comment. I agree with that but the issue is you can never tell how much YT will recommend the video in searches and that largely determines how many views any one video, the content of the video however can determine how much of the videos people watch. In the case of this one it did not do well at first indicating ir did not get recommended but over the year it accumulated more views so that may have been due to viewers watching more of the video that then in turn gets it listed more over the longer term.

I am ready to assemble my 394xp that i bought 24 yrs back. Would love to see you service that 395xp as they are very similar. New sub here in the US. Good videos - thx (new piston/cylinder, carb rebuilt and new fuel lines and seals.)

Ill be doing a vid on the rebuild of the 562XP crank. Aside from that saws are not my main game so videos on them may be few and far between unless I get more which is possible.

I wouldn't mind having one of those small Husqvarna's. You can use it single handedly, and they are great for thinning out tree branches.

Hi mate, how much end float should there be on the clutch drum? My clutch drum can move out and in from the oiler to the c clip about 2-3mm chewed up the plastic oiler arms and now upgrading to the steel one? Great vid btw

hello, if i put bigger carb (now is 24mm to 28mm or bigger) Would you get more power just with that? HONDA MTX 125R Do I need changes regarding ports and exhaust ? bore x stroke ( 56x50.6)
@AuMechanic
@AuMechanic 5 жыл бұрын
Unless the bike has a carb that is a bit small to begin with then its not likely you will get more power simply upsizing the carb alone. In fact being a dirt bike you could loose a bit of power at the low end as a bigger carb will not work as well at lower RPM so there is a risk just putting a bigger carb on will have a downside. The only reason I would do it is if you were going to do porting and put a higher performance cam in it and maybe increase compression, in short if you are doing engine mods that might mean the stock carb will limit peak power at the top end of the RPM range.

Hi AuMechanic could you please tell me before you replaced the oil pump there is a bushing sleeve with metal washer on crank, well between that and crank sea is there a rubber washer or is it just the metal bush sleeve. any help from anyone would be great as i took oil pump out and sleeve then blew out with air comp and didn't check thanks.

Don't recall but from the look of it in the manual there is an O-ring under the sleeve, part number 503 26 30-19

Hello...👍...fair play to you..I imagine crappy saws are not your thing I may be wrong..u said u worked in repairs previously I can tell...using dogs in vice or spinning crank with drill,,great to see your twist...those ATs are notorious for bearings there high revers,more so if they draw air carb is compensating...they bounce up to 16k with rev boosts as stock...plus 50:1 is lean on oil..they run fine with 40:1..so 👍over all..noticed the long reach socket doctored for clutch tool😉
@AuMechanic
@AuMechanic 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah had a few plug sockets around so converted one into a clutch tool. Re the drill, just pushed it against the clutch bell to spin the pump for the test not the whole crank Re the crank bearings, IMO the shop was pretty lazy putting a new piston on it and not even so much as turning the crank to see if the bearings felt ok, or washing out the casings, he paid them good money to have the job done.

What should be compression in 372xp oem?
@AuMechanic
@AuMechanic 5 жыл бұрын
Manual has no compression test values but should be at least 150 psi

@@AuMechanic mine has 140 psi? is this a good result?
@AuMechanic
@AuMechanic 5 жыл бұрын
@@Sensei948 That's about the minimum. You need to ensure the throttle is on full / wide open doing a compression test. If not have someone give you a hand to hold the gauge while you pull it over at full throttle Also make sure the decompression button valve is not leaking.

@@Sensei948 Pk good So 140 psi is about the minimum you would;want. Any idea how many hours it has on it ? Maybe pop the muffler off and have a look at the piston up the exhaust port and see if it has any scuff marks on it.
