Don't worry you can never beat trading away Brett Hull (741 goals in 1269 games) thats Goals not points. That's like being a 50 goal scorer every year for your entire career. For Rob Ramage and Rick Wamsley a 29 year of defensmen and a back up goalie. Brett Hull has the 5th most goals of any player in the history of the game. We even added in Steve Bozak. That is like Trading Draisaitl for Dan Vladar and Oliver Kylington but trading him when he is 20 not now. Maybe this is all part of a larger deal for Mitch Marner?? Buffalo still has $13 million in salary cap to spend & not many teams have cap space to sign a Marner deal. Toronto is going to want some NHL ready players included in any Marner trade. Maybe McLoud is just one piece of what it takes to bring Mitch Marner to Buffalo.

I can't even call Jackson a tool, because tools are useful. Edmonton doesn't need the help in the areas that he is focusing on. He is literally doing the EXACT same thing that Peter Chiarelli and Ken Holland did. And suddenly he's some managerial god? Where is the Nurse trade for a stronger and definitely more affordable back end? With Campbell's albatross of a contract gone , where is the starting goalie? Because Skinner isn't it. Edmonton already has all the offensive firepower they could ever need and this moron is out there grabbing more when there are far more pressing issues to deal with.

Show me a gm that can trade Nurse 😂. It cant be done without holding atleast 25% of his salary. Ofcourse Oilers would need upgade on top 4 but Draisaitl did need a more solid winger and oilers need to resing few players so cap space comes handy. Skinner played well enough and can still develop. Ofcourse i would take Saros over him but that is easier said than done

Now hold on. I've been watching the Oilers since the 80's. These are trades the Oil haven't been allowed to make since 2002. Couple that with the fact that Jeff hasn't been named the official GM? Be prepared for later this summer, we could end up with a tenured GM coming in and taking the reins. If that happens, I fully expect the Oilers to trade ALL the talent they've acquired this summer for nothing, with 50% retained on all contracts, Nurse will get signed to a 2 year extension with a 2 million dollar raise that will take place immediately, and Draisaitl will be allowed to become a UFA with zero attempt to re-sign or trade at the deadline. This has been reality for Oilers fans since 2002, and I'm fully in the "I'll believe it when I see it" territory.
