@@universeconsciouscitizensc592 yes and I think that Stewart Copeland the drummer from the Police scored some movies too. If memory serves me correctly which sometimes does not. They played with them on a day on the green in Oakland, CA that’s when I saw them. It was the Police last gig together they broke up right after. Stewart said “thank you we were the Police when the exited and I thought he misspoke but nope.

absolutely true. real musicians. real artists. generally, the people who are that good, don't get the recognition. It's the ones good at the PR, the game, the image...those are usually the ones who grab the attention. Band was started by his brother...The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo began as a street theater troupe in Los Angeles, founded by Richard Elfman. The name was inspired by a fictional secret society on the Amos 'n' Andy TV series called The Mystic Knights of the Sea. The earliest version of the band employed as many as 15 performers at any given time, playing over 30 instruments, including some instruments built by band members. nobody plays with 15 guys because they want fame and money...

Great song, better voice. Wonderful band with so much energy in this song. There are so many great comments and stories in the comments from around the US and internationally, too. Great way to show the impact and energy of this band.

What a great band! And a hoot! I first saw them at UC Irvine back around 1978. They showed up playing and sauntering up over the hills on the campus green to the stage. It was like an alien invasion... but with much better music and nobody died or was disintegrated. They seemed like they were enjoying themselves as much as the crowd.

I can honestly say this song is my favorite song of all time. I got my first radio when I was five years old back in the 70s so I have been listening to music for a long time, and all types of music from every genre, and this song is the song I am always playing and listening to more than any other. If I were stuck on a desert island and told I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life, it would be this song. It has everything! Sheer Perfection!

Graduated in 1990 - Came into high school in 87 and this band's music was playing at every Friday night party that I went to. Amongst some of the other great bands of the eighties. I absolutely go back in time in my mind when I hear Boingo. I never got to see them live and I wish that they would tour. Man that would be some shit to see these guy's live at 51. Come on Danny..... give us one tour. I'm originally from San Diego but live in Portland now so I don't know what the response would be like here but I know in Dago there would be a lot of people my age that would go to see them.

Went to Mt. Carmel High in the early 80s, we were big fans of Oingo Boingo since "Only A Lad" album came out in 81 -- But 'Dead Man's Party' is their most iconic sound and vibe imo.

I empathize with you about seeing them...I was fortunate enough to see them once at the Royal Oak in michigan. (Lansing area I believe)...I met danny after the show...got his autograph...and vatos...and leon Schneiderman's...vatos was eating chinese food out of a styrofoam container in a minivan outside the back of the theater...rolled down the window just for me! I was as giddy as a little school girl.

This very tour was my first concert ever. I saw them at the Berkley Amphitheater. They played and played. would not stop. Eventually Danny had to come on and say they were kicking them off, and they had one more song to play. They played so long ,and it was so good I pissed myself. I was 16. The secondary price i had to pay was pissing myself, I'll pay that every day and twice on Sunday.
