grigsolve Eric Dickerson and Oj Simpson are all time great breakaway runners. It was rare that got caught from behind. Payton was more of a bruiser and Sanders wasn’t the best breakaway runner when he first came in the league, he use to get caught a lot from behind but eventually got better and was a nightmare for the league.

When i was 7ys old, i watched him run for 200yrds IN THE SNOW in Shea stadium to reach 2000yrds in 14gms....simply the best breakaway runner i've ever seen!

My uncle was at that game at Shea stadium to see him go over 2K with my cousin Ruben & Tony. Then in 1985 my uncle took me to watch Herschel Walker rush for 2K in Giant stadium. That was fun to watch. In that game there were 3 Heisman Trophy winners. Herschel Walker, Mike Rosier & Doug Flutie. But Douge was hurt & didn't play in the game but he was on the sidelines.

William Gravely oJ was a beast but has anyone paid attention the that offensive line? They were MAULING Those other teams And when they ran to the right, the left guard was pulling and was as fast as OJ and would pick somebody out and just pile drive them into the ground. I heard that the QB threw for less than 1500 yards in his 2000 yard year. Everybody knew what was coming and it didn’t matter.

His vision was exceptional, to see the lane and make the cut. I'm a lifelong Giants fan, he and Ron Johnson were my favorite players. Regardless of whether he did what they say he did.
