When I was little I was told that if you eat gum and swallow it, then you would have to get surgery or it would be stuck in your stomach for 7 years. Fast forward a couple years to recently, and I freaked out when I accidently swallowed my gum in public. My mother almost took me to the mental hospital for that.

In the 5th or 6th grade (I cant remember) I was doing a project with this other girl and we had to read this story together and there was this guy named Nigel in the story we were reading but the whole time I had been pronouncing his name as Neh-gol and I realized that it wasnt pronounced like that until just last year 😅

I think the person that thought pepperoni was a vegetable might have come from a different country and spoken a different language. I'm from Switzerland and here "Peperoni" is the same thing as paprika. It's one of those false friends words that you should not mix up. Especially as a vegetarian, lol.

Here in Germany we call small peppers pepperponi which can be spicy, so yes it is a vegetable. 😉 And pepperoni (the "meat" one) is called Salami which can be spicy too. So, yeah, i can totally understand the confusion. 🙂

The introverted, avid reader meme is so relatable. I was really reserved and I used to read so much as a kid (age 4-13) that I probably read about 3 novels a week per on average. I picked up so many new words but I never knew the pronunciation until I was older and heard someone say the words. Words like macabre and inconspicuous etc.

So: A FOAL is a baby horse A PONY is 14.2hh (the measurement of height in horses) and below A HORSE is 14.3 or above Mine is 14.2 so she’s just a pony but if she was 4 inches bigger (the difference between a point) she would be a horse. And the measures go up in 3s- 14hh, 14.1, 14.2 , 14.3 , 15hh etc. Hope that helped anyone wondering 😌

Some stories of my dumb brain: (most of these happened in about Late 2020 to now) When I learned that “Netflix and Chill” wasn’t actually Netflix… and chill… (My friend told me the actual meaning when we were playing Minecraft) When looking at the French translation for a period pad box it finally clicked in my brain for why The Statue of Liberty got its name… When I was younger, my mum told me that she had eyes in the back of her head and I seriously started questioning it (Same logic goes when my grandpa used to “steal” my nose) Another time is when I learned that baby making wasn’t when a female stomach and a male stomach merged.. the book showed me about how genitals worked and some how I didn’t take that into account…that picture book was very misleading to a 7 year old..

When I was 4 or 5, my dad got a job in Sharjah. A few months later, he took me and my mother. When we got there it was already night. I was a bit tired from sitting on the plane for 4 hrs. So I must not have heard what my parents were speaking. I remember dad gave us an apartment tour but I only remembered about the bathroom with a tub. When I woke up in the morning, I saw that there was a door near the entrance and it was low key creepy to me. I thought there was a demon living in it and the door wasn't meant to be open...(my mum was a huge fan of horror movies. So....) I didn't see my parents using that room either. I believed that for almost a year until my uncle and cousins came to visit us... it turns out that the room was just a bathroom...without a tub...

Cupcake and Cake are the same but as with cake there are different recipes for both. Cupcakes in the end are just poured into smaller baking pans and need less time in the oven. As for the Ponys, the definition is a height under 145cm. And Peperoni are actually a vegetable in other languages. In German we say Peperoni to hot peppers.

In German Peperoni is actually a vegetable, in english it is called hot pepper 🌶 🫑 ⬅️ those are Pepperoni in Switzerland. Your 🍕 Peperoni is called Salami or scharfer (hot/spicy) salami. So in a way that one was right to think that it is a vegetable, maybe he is from a German speaking country like me. And ofc corals are animals, I always have a mini heart attack when someone takes them out of the water or breaks parts of.
