our late principal once said, "huwag kayong magkakamaling piliin ang psychology." disheartening, yes, especially when i saw the look on my research teacher's face when i told her i am studying psychology. it is true that many people won't open their hearts and minds for us and our passion for psychology, but between us and them, tayo ang umiintindi at umuunawa. in a world full of people disturbed by negative feelings, we are the ones opening our minds and offering help... kahit na ayaw nila at hindi sila naniniwala. so let's not give up and just keep doing what we are doing for a happier world, fellow psychologists! sending hugs from bulacan 💛

Seventh Day Adventist din po akoo!👋💖.. and recently sobra akong naging interested sa psychology kaya nanunuod ako ng mga vid sa yt about sa psych at isa ka po sa mga napanood ko haha😅 napanood k npo yung nauna nyo pang vid. 3rd year BS Psych present here. :) If you love people and working with people you will love it! And our community is very accommodating. It was not my first choice but after working sa call center as a trainer I learned to love interacting with people that’s why I am taking Psychology now. I love group dynamics a lot. True, the degree will open your mind sa maraming bagay and it will make you question a lot of things even your faith. So for all Christians like me and other beliefs, let’s use science to appreciate more God’s creation. God bless and stay safe!

Hi @@ashleydeguia2148 , I would mirror what abi jane the creator of this video said that memorization can be a great help. What would really help you though is understanding the concepts and applying it to your own or other’s experiences. Mas madali kasi maintindihan ang theories and concepts kapag naicoconnect mo sa totoong buhay. The good thing about Psy is related sya sa maraming aspects ng buhay natin. So with studying and understanding well, you can do well in your future goals. :) bata ka pa there’s a lot of potential :)

Thank you so much for your videos. They were such a trip down memory lane. I-aambag ko nalang siguro what post-college was like for me as a Psychology graduate. Just to be clear, from my own experience lang po ito and I also cannot speak in behalf sa iba. :) After getting my degree, I took my RPm license din but truth be told eh similar with many others na licensed psychometricians, naging non-practicing. Back then and maybe until now eh hindi pa gaanong well-established ang roles and functions ng psychometricians although psychometrics is a very integral component in many fields and settings. Madalas na kailangan mo pang i-explain ano ang ginagawa ng psychometrician. Yung iba kala nila para ka na ring psychologist daw tapos sabay manghihingi ng consultation or assessment. haha Correct me if I am wrong pero psychometricians usually work under and are supervised by a licensed psychologist. Usually sa mga psychological reports and documents na hinahanda ng psychometricians, ang last na signatory dun is ang supervising psychologist/s. It has been several years since nagkaroon ako ng PRC license pero ewan. Minsan tuloy naiisip ko na parang palamuti nalang tong PRC ID ko. But hey, at least may dagdag valid ID plus pampakapal ng wallet. hahaha Currently, I am on my 7th year in the Educational setting as a guidance personnel. Most Psychology graduates become either a guidance associate or facilitator if matitripan nilang sumubok sa educational setting while some become instructors at minsan eh kumukuha talaga sila ng Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) para mas legit ang pagiging instructors nila. lol Yung iba naman na may passion talaga might even consider becoming a Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC) after pursuing graduate school. Kung gusto nyo maging RGC, finish either Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling (MAGC) if thesis-track trip nyo or Master in Guidance and Counseling (MGC) if non-thesis track. You can still take the licensure exam para maging RGC regardless kung alin sa dalawa pipiliin nyo. Main difference lang yata is that hindi ka makakaproceed ng PhD in Guidance and Counseling if MGC ang tinapos mo kasi hahanapan ka ng thesis/research mo nung grad school ka pa. Salamat ulit sa content mo, Ms. Abi! Mabuhay ka! :D P.S. Hi daw sabi nila Feist. Hahaha

Hello po ate. Incoming bs psych student po ako sa pasukan (lol kahit di pa enroll). Actually hindi ko po talaga first choice ang psych, tourism po talaga and theater arts ang choices ko. For some reason, hindi ko po iyun matetake. But in the future I am looking forward na makatulong to people who are experiencing mental illnesses and disorders. Iyun na lang po talaga ang purpose na naiisip ko para magsurvive. I am a Christian po. And sana hindi maging conflict po iyun sa faith ko. Btw, nice vlog po ate, thanks for the infos. Lovelots po❤❤❤

Hi po, im thinking of taking psychology as my pre med, kasi im a very curious person, I think that this course would fit me well, but after watching this video and talking to some of my friends who are taking psychology, I have one particular question, while taking this course, can you still be active? in organizations, clubs or even athletics, because i love to study and and learn new things, but i also love being active and having fun. thankyou po.

Yes, you can still be active in psych. I was once a school pub writer in my college years. It was a good time investment.
