GiBi is the best type of theorist, someone who is smart and uses critical thinking, along with trying to connect narrative storytelling throughout the franchise, and be able to discuss things with the facts from the games and using some elements from other corners of the franchise to piece things together. I definitely think it was a double edged sword. Like, without him a lot of people would’ve never heard about the games/franchise or kept up with it for so long. At the same time though, I think he caused a lot of valid theories to get flak for no good reason. As theorists I think its important that we remain open minded to new veiwpoints to the franchise, while also keeping what we have tight evidence for on lockdown. This of course means that those things on lockdown will inevitably change when we have more answers, or a better outcome. This is why I love the FNaF community, everyone comes at it from a different angle, and it helps us put more and more pieces together, its like one giant collaborative effort.

Dual Process Theory is just wrong on so many levels, and I feel GiBi levelled some very fair criticism towards them in this video and the others. However, I do feel that every time we get someone like DPT titling their video with "Guys, We Totally Solved FNAF" or something similar, it's just going to make it more difficult for when someone legitimately solves it (if that ever happens) to get their voice heard.

The theory for Mike being the nightguard in FNAF 3 stemming from the apparitions makes sense for a few things. While the animatronics shown are based on the characters of Fazbear, some of these aren't advertised for the public. While Balloon Boy and Classic Chica would show in ads for the restaurants, I doubt Mangle would be shown in that state of disrepair. And even if they were, that wouldn't change the fact that only employees of FNAF 2 would have seen Withered Foxy and Withered Golden Freddy. That, of course, would then make it plausible that any person that worked in both establishments could be the nightguard, but Michael fits moreso narratively and with everything else we theorized about his character.

Honestly I really liked her vid. I made a jokey reply to it saying something along the lines of I'm not sure which spirit has Cassidy as a name anymore but knowing this franchise the crying child and the vengeful spirit could both be named Cassidy for all we know lol. I do agree with her pointing out lots of inconsistencies with their conclusions especially Mike being the vengeful spirit. Like it makes sense for him to be vengeful and even potentially blame his father of his death but the way the games goes about portraying this spirit (ie: as a young gender ambiguous child that lacks a British accent) definitely is inconsistent with how ghost are shown to work in every other situation. Like DPT did do some pretty good work with looking at some of the finer details of the franchise that gets overlook but some of their theory definitely went too far in the direction of just hand waving inconvenient info. Its like how fans have collectively decided crying child's head trauma= William's child murder motivation is "debunked" simply because it makes them morally uncomfortable rather than because the evidence points in a different direction. Like I think some fans have to decide if they really want the story to be solved or just if they want to write a "better" story then what Scott was likely going for lol

Oh I feel like mentioning something I forgot to mention when making this reply so I'll make a new one. I don't think CC is possessing the plushie like you do simply because its been somewhat established in the game continuity at least that souls need to tether to something made of metal. Unless the golden bear plush is basically the Fazbear equivalent of a Teddy Ruxpin (now there's a reference I didn't expect to make today!) I don't think a soul would have anything to latch itself onto. I think its more likely CC is haunting Fredbear because the head chomping thing allowed the soul to tether to it once his body finally passed on. Just that is a little closer to how soul seem to work in this series that a plush toy somehow ended up inside Golden Freddy despite there being 0 evidence for that happening at any time. Like that's more wild speculation Mr. Hippo weeps stuff lol EDIT: I do know that people think the plush may have metal in it because it talking could be the result of a speaker it has... but also the plush teleports so who knows what its actually doing in those cutscenes. The only confirmation we have it could be able to actually talk is the plush showing up in the Sister Location near what looks like a walkie talkie but its still pretty speculative to assume that's what Scott was trying to tell us about it.

To me the reason Mike has a British accent and his much younger brother does not is probably pretty simple. Mike could have been born in England where he was surrounded by British accents. CC likely spent his entire life in Utah he could have had an American nanny and almost definitely went to school with American children. The two boys had different accents because they learned to speak in different environments.

The aftons being British isn’t really meant to make sense logistically. iirc Scott just made him British because that accent is associated with villains. He gave it to the other aftons so people could tell who was an afton

Alternatively, I suppose there is an alternate world where she was the ONLY baby at the time that Circus Baby’s happened and that she was the oldest child, and either died before `Michael was born or while he was a little kid - however there’s less you’d have to re-explain and find alternate solutions for if she’s the youngest

I think I enjoyed the reaction to the sort of deconstruction ID did more than I would have enjoyed you reacting to the original video. Hey GiBi. Absolutely huge fan of your theories. Thanks for all you do for the FNAF community. I think you bring a very intelligent, level-headed perspective. Now, I have a topic of concern... I know this series has so many mysteries that are unsolved. However, I'm infinitely bothered by TUSS (The Unidentified Springlock Suit) as some call it. We know of exactly TWO springlock suits in the entire game series' canon: Springtrap, and Fredbear/Golden Freddy. Facts we know about TUSS from Sister Location: - It IS a springlock suit. - It CANNOT be Springtrap. - Given everything we know about Fredbear, as well as the incorrect eye shape, it also CANNOT be Fredbear. - It has four distinct faceplates. The only known animatronics with faceplates like this were created by William. - The face appears to be relatively flat, with at least no distinct nose noticable through the eye and mouth sockets. - The suit is from Circus Baby's Pizza World (per Baby). - Per Baby, the suit was never used (at least, for its intended purpose) (does mean it was only used to springlock people for remnant testing?) - The face appears to be separated from the sides of the head in a strange way. - Per Baby, there's room for one person to fit inside, but JUST barely (maybe important, maybe just flavor text). From everything we know, this appears to be a completely new, never-before (or after...) mentioned springlock suit. Could it be that William was experimenting with another version of a character we know already, but as a Springlock version with faceplates, before later scrapping the idea but keeping the faceplates for use with the Funtimes? In that line of thought, could TUSS have been Funtime Chica, who doesn't even appear in the game? She has the faceplates that sort of match up (although not at all perfectly, but I'm reaching at this point). It would also fit narratively with Chica having been the first of the Funtimes, having seen everything (only slightly joking). If not Chica, who else? The only other thoughts I have are the Puppet, and the Minireenas, given their relatively flat faces, as well as fitting the TUSS mouth shape well (although not the eyes at all...) If TUSS is not a character we already know, are we to assume William built a completely separate and unique springlock suit, designed for a new character, just for us to never see or hear from them again in the timeline? And why wouldn't Scott just tell us this then if it doesn't matter? The game came out 8 years ago and we still don't have a solid answer. I don't believe Scott would have created this night with no actual meaning or thought put into this animatronic. He has never revealed the identity of TUSS, so I believe it's actually important/relevant somehow to the story. I would love for you to make a video on this topic, or at least talk about it in-depth in one of your Q&A videos. Thanks again ❤

We see the Fredbear plushie on Williams desk where he’s watching the FNAF 4 house. In FNAF 4, you don’t see nightmare Fredbear until night 4(?), which leads me to believe (in the non-dream version of the FNAF 4 survival thing), William is watching Mike fend off against the main 4 animatronics while he tries to find out how to put Cici into an animatronic of his own, and then unleashing the animatronic once he’s figured out how to do it, which is why we don’t see NMFredbear until the later nights. It only says the suspect is charged. When charged you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. If you are found guilty then you’re convicted. With help wanted saying nothing was proven in a court of law, William could’ve been charged but he wasn’t convicted due to lack of evidence

I have two things to point out. 1) Old Man Consequences name is funny. Because yeah hes old to a child but its entirely possible he killed himself when he was mid 30s or 40s which isnt that old. But again, childs perspective. 2) have you ever thought of the parentage of CC? For a while i have had a nagging feeling that CC isnt an Afton, but it creates more problems than solutions. My main game canon pieces are the fnaf encyclopedia which i believe scott confirmed was canon, just like the survival guide. If i remember correctly Micheal and CC arent given a last name. The only people who are given a last name are William and Elizabeth. I still argue that Emily isnt a last name. Charlie and Mike dont get last names. So my theory that Mike and CC are not originally aftons is based on that. I personally believe CC is Henrys child, aka Charlie, and Afton remarried Henrys ex hence why they are his sons. My main hiccup with that is mike has that accent. But VS doesnt. It could be possible that mike was from absent mrs afton, william and henrys ex wife married, CC was Henrys child, and Elizabeth was born after marriage. Theres a lot more about this that will make a huge comment but i figured i would entertain the idea here.

So, I recently read in the comments of another video a great/terrible pun reason for the weird names (Charlotte Emily) - Basically, Charlotte is called Charlie in the books. Charlie is a nickname for Charles. So is the name Chuck. And thus, the name is a bad Chuck E Cheese joke. Poster also mentioned that in the books, Charlotte's Dad Henry and twin Brother Sammy, if they share a last name, then the initials of the family can be arranged to spell Cheese.

In fact, if there was two spirits in the Golden Freddy suit, then why would Golden Freddy say the phrase "It's Me"? Because if there were two spirits logically, then the phrase, "It's Me" wouldn't make any sense. The phrase "It's Me", refers to a single person being in Golden Freddy, not two people. In fact there's more evidence to point to the Crying Child being Golden Freddy in the cannon. Because in the FNAF 4 Mini games, we play as the Crying Child, and this kid is well known for getting scared of these robots. But which robot is he afraid of more to be exact? Well I think it's Golden Freddy. Because according to the Day 2 FNAF 4 Mini game, The Fred bear plush tells the kid, " It's too late. Hurry the other way and find someone who will help! You know what will happen if he catches you." When the Crying Child dose exactly what the plush tells him to do, he tries to run in the opposite direction. But when the person in the Golden Freddy suit towers over him, we see the crying child in defeat, crying on the floor. So according to this piece of evidence, we can say without a dough that the Crying Child is afraid more of the Golden Freddy suit then any other robot in Fred Bears Family Diner. So eventually when the Crying Child is dying due to the Bite of 83, the Crying Child when he dies becomes the Golden Freddy suit. Explaining why Golden Freddy in FNAF 1 saids "It's Me". Plus, just look at the FNAF 2 Mini Game, Happiest Day. When the puppet gives the cake to the child without a mask, that child when given the cake, puts on the Golden Freddy mask. Making that child to be the Crying Child. Because of his memories with the Golden Freddy suit. Also in the Happiest Day Mini Game, we don't see another child with a second Golden Freddy mask. We just see one kid with the Golden Freddy mask. Meaning that there can't be another child in the Golden Freddy suit. Meaning that the Cassidy we see in the FNAF Books aren't cannon to the games and was spawned into existence due to the speculation by theorist and wrong information. The only reason we have "evidence" for Cassidy is due to the Books and the Mystery about who Afton "shouldn't have killed". I also have a theory that explains on who the spirit that Afton himself shouldn't have killed. And my answer to that question is the Puppet, AKA Charlotte Emily. And my reasoning is very logical. Because Charlotte Emily was killed by Afton, so we know that she was directly involved as a victim of Afton. So if we connect those dots together we should realized one thing. Charlotte Emily in the Puppet, is the vengeful spirit in FNAF Custom night. Not Michael and Not the Crying Child. This also explains why in Happiest Day Mini Game why the puppet mask moves slowly down in the end then all of the other masks. Because it's symbolizes Charlotte Emily not moving on when she dose eventually helps the dead kids. Because she's angry at William for killing these poor kids. So Charlotte Emily sets up a torcher chamber in FNAF Custom night to show what Michael Afton himself had to go through in all of the other previous FNAF games.

Because in the 8bit version of the bite we see, there is “a yellow bear, and a brown bunny” no, there is a yellow bear and a yellow bunny that is behind the bear, we see Fred bear facing directly sideways, towards the kids, but the bunny is not, he’s facing away, a little behind, therefore, with the limits of 8 bit the way to show that he’s not the center of attention is to mute his colors, making him look like he’s in the background. Yet I’ve seen so many people truly think this is yet ANOTHER bunny suit when quite literally a brown bunny has never ever been mentioned in the games. This sounds very similar to this. It’s a bunch of games telling a story, there are bound to be super slight changes, that doesn’t mean it’s “not golden Freddy” it just means that’s the version of him being portrayed. Similarly to how there’s not a brown bunny, that’s just how spring bonny is portrayed in the minigame

Dude you were nice to matpat, you took some playful jabs at him and even said you wanted him to acknowledge you. The fact that you acknowledge other creators and give your two cents is refreshing since it kinda makes like a cool little think tank. Also think I got what Scott was going for with FNAF 4 Mike thought he was dreaming but he really wasn't. After CC's death he was traumatized and over a course of a week he is put on medication I'd guess depression anxiety and the IV was probably cause he wasn't eating much if anything. William probably took advantage of this to terrify him either for revenge over CC or to test out the sound disk. Also he probably wrote these off as nightmares is cause "what is seen in shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child". So it probably played out like: when he told his parent(s) about nightmares he might've legitimately had they probably took him to a therapist and he was put on meds and then William started testing the sound disk as a punishment of sorts while still playing the part of a grieving yet loving father. Overtime he got worse symptoms due to lack of sleep (like probably said he's still having nightmares but the doctors probably assumed his nightmares caused his lack of sleep while Mike didn't know he was lacking sleep at all and maybe gave him an IV and additional meds to help him sleep.) William kept going with the experipunishment and which would result in Mike being asleep during the day (during which flowers would be placed) and then also helps explain the night where every monster is golden freddy since while the meds would help with the actual nightmares they wouldn't take them away completely; in these circumstances anyways.

Finally, I found another person who is skeptical of the DPT theory. Seriously, I don't want to seem too "rude" to people, with my directness and somehow offend a small channel without really achieving anything by myself, but their theory doesn't really solve anything 100% in lore, it still holds on thin threads, like the rest of the theories about GF. Rather, it is a distortion of William as a caring father, instead of a total evil and a*shole, as well as a change in Michael's goal (has anyone noticed his motives for revenge?) I would love to hear your thoughts on fnaf world and it's connection to the security log book. It makes me feel like the glitch fredbear that leads the player to the clocks is the altered text. The crying child could be the player seeing as they say that they love video games and the bite could have messed up their memory or something. It's just weird for us to be shown that Mike is trying to help the spirits too, maybe he's the player instead? Guiding crying child to the truth (clearing in the woods)? It's just weird that the clock games are in fnaf 3 for happiest day.... Mike would have to do them right??? Like as the guard in the real world?

I don’t think I’ve seen anybody talk about this yet (recently?), but as some one who has been inside of various giant felted costumed heads for their job once upon a time, I can say that the outer eye shape of a character DOES NOT match one for one what you see from the interior. The view from inside the head is often much narrower than what the external ‘eyes’ of the character appear to be. From the springlock Mike is placed into in sister location, it seems basically impossible to know/guess since we don’t get any hints at what the character actually looks like from the outside. TLDR; Mapping the eye shapes just isn’t going to be super reliable going from irl experience, but of course,,,,there’s always game logic and visual storytelling, which I understand does rely on people being able to put things together from the intentional visual clues.

I think theres something interesting to note for CC possessing the plush. If you do believe Jake in the books is a parallel to CC in the games, Jake also possesses a plush/doll. Which once it breaks from its cabinet the first thing he would see would be his own corpse within his room on the bed. Not saying this proves anything but it could be seen as a parallel with the idea you brought up about CC seeing his own body upon posessing the plush.

It is a harsh word, but it's worth noting that most of the times when she says "mislead" she prefaces it with "unintentionally", so I don't think she means it to sound too harsh or that they did it out of malice. For example, there are lots of times in the video when they say they know something "for a fact" when it's just a theory that the majority of people believe in (or sometimes not even that). That is misleading wording, but they say it so often in the video that it feels like it's a writing tic that they have, like they don't realize they're saying something that isn't true (like when people say "literally" when talking about something figuratively).

If the events of the Stichtline (I think Frights is a bit much) are game canon, that does not mean Andrew is in Golden Freddy in my opinion. Andrew doesn't posses Golden Freddy in the books at all, and the spirit inside Golden Freddy is Cassidy. The question is, is Golden Freddy being shown in UCN necessarily mean Golden Freddy is TOYSNHK? It's easy to assume yes, but you could also argue for no, and that Cassidy twitching away is instead meant to represent that she was the one who let go, but Andrew kept holding on. Who knows though

Another thing about Cassidy experiencing the fnaf 4 gameplay is that the nightmare animatronics are in UCN, implying that Cassidy has seen them. And that the fnaf 4 bedroom is the final unlockable office. And how nightmare fredbear says "this time there is more than an illusion to fear." I always thought the breaker room map showing that fnaf 4 was a real place was always weird, but if you think of it as Cassidy it makes more sense. She's torturing Afton with the same animatronics and in the room that he tortured her.

I honestly kind of vibe with Charlie dies last if I’m honest. Just from listening to true crime, the serial killers tend not to start with really personal kills - if they have those at all they tend to come later, so it kind of makes sense that William would have built toward a direct attack on Henry. You could even take Withered Chica saying she was the first as clarification from Scott that actually Suzie died first - which would work if only there was an alternate explanation for “a wound first inflicted on me.”

A note on what was covered about presenting theories in a way that ignores evidence: as a 10 year franchise with an obscene amount of obscure lore, its unreasonable for theorists to assume viewers know all the evidence that's left unsaid. Which leads to new fans or old fans who dont have every bit of lore memorized watching new theories and being completely convinced in a misinformed way which leads to infighting amongst the community. I feel like it’s odd that you keep saying that Mike didn’t die? I would argue against the idea of William ‘killing’ him since it’s a bit of a stretch for it to be the only thing we KNOW about “the one you shouldn’t have killed”, but Mike absolutely could have died there. His organs and flesh were scooped out, it is just as likely (maybe even more so?) that he was killed, and possessed his own body or maybe more accurately his soul COULDN’T leave his body, because of the remnant from the Funtimes, or maybe leftover physical remnant-infused metal of some kind. It’s almost an identical situation to Springtrap, and yet saying that “William didn’t die inside the Spring Bonnie suit” is not IMPOSSIBLE but definitely not a fact like you seem to be implying with Mike. Things like this make me wish we had actual an character design for Mike post-SL because it could help answer things like this

Like, even taking their theory into account: If GF's twitching at the end of 50/20 is the memory of CC dying in the suit, and that's meant to symbolize William's biggest regret, wouldn't CC be TOYSNHK instead? His biggest regret is killing CC, so CC is the one he shouldn't have killed? Doesn't that make more sense than it being Mike?
