OK, THIS is How to Get Strikes in Switch Sports Bowling

I found this technique quite efficient as well. I taught the same one to my grandma after she couldn't get a single strike while I went against her. Now she's getting every single strike and beating me at nearly every game! XD Overall great tip, usually I get 1 pin spares but thats ok.

Funniest thing is that this is my strategy in real life, and so long as I add a decent amount of power, i get strikes. Tried using the same exact strategy in switch sports and found out it was a sure way to get many strikes. Didn't know this was the best way possible. Thanks for the confidence boost 👍👍

A strategy that works for me is going just left of the middle arrow (so that the line guide is fully to the left of the arrow, no overlap). Go just right of the middle arrow if you're left handed. Then you let your character walk all the way to the end of the lane (press the trigger and pull back slowly and just let them keep walking until they stop). Then do a quick flicking motion (no full arm arc) as fast and as straight as possible (even doing a really informal double hand hold if you have to in order to keep the Joy Con from spinning). I got a perfect 300 game with this strategy and have been getting consistent Final Round plays on online bowling.

I bowled a 300 on Wii Resort using an angle away from center and a nasty hook. Also, all the strikes were buried deep unlike some of the strikes here which are shallow and weak. It's about consistency guys. There's a million ways to bowl a strike.

This. As long as you can figure out one shot/angle to get a strike and reproduce that every time, you'll bowl s perfect game. The straight method is probably the easiest though, since it's easier to ensure a straight hand than to get the exact correct curve out of all possible curves.

Just know speed counts. Going to fast is like poking straight through paper. Going to soft is without penetrating it. At just the right speed, you can snatch the paper out of your hand with the other. Same for speed hitting that sweet spot.

Event houghit's been a year since you commented, is there a way to throw with more speed? I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but no matter how fast I swing my arm, or how much force I use, the speed of my throw just seems to stay the same... resulting in being unable to throw strikes consistently. (Sorry, English isn't my native language, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say here...)

Me too. It didn't drift off to the right. But then I found my 'sweet spot', putting the aim line against 1 lane marker to the right of the middle. Took me a handful of games to get a 296 (11 strikes + 6) and 2 games later a 300!

i have been doing this strat for a very long time, i once discovered it by accident, looking at it further it has to do with the way the ball makes contact with the front pin and how i touches the two pins behind this, after testing further I have been able to nail it really well and i now dominant survival matches online

So a couple of months after this video came out there was an update that changed the bowling physics. According to Nintendo they basically hardcoded it so that the pins are easier to knock over when you curve and harder when you throw straight. The change isn't so dramatic that throwing straight is no longer viable but there actually is something to be gained by developing a curve technique now.

Been using this method, started playing only three days ago, won 3 games in a row, all above 210+ points average and got enough points to finish the robot completion set today before it ended! Edit: this method no longer works, like at all, thanks to the new update, but my new method is to go all the way to the end, 2 clicks opposite direction, then turn angle to face exact middle of the up most front pin. Has approximately 60% or higher chance or working

I move my arrow over to triangle on right of the middle one. I hold joy con to my chest hold button make sure controller straight. Then in the quickest motion possible i got up and down like 6 inches bringing it back up to my chest. Also get my character to move up to the line before doing all this. Strike everytime.

Just go straight from the 3rd arrow from right (or left if L handed) and split the arrow in half (inwards) and then throw very straight

Yo this works, just make sure the ticker line is completely covering the middle arrow. If any part of the arrow is showing it will hit the middle pin dead center and not be a strike

The spin method never worked for me. I found a similar method while i was trying to figure out the most consistent method. Instead I put the arrow on the 3ird from the right and literally just throw my arm back and straight forward. The most consistent strike method for me now.

Been trying this 'revised' noob method all night. It's bollocks. Not sure how the he'll you're getting them or maybe my arm is crooked but it doesn't work. Also tried 2 hand mode where there's no margin for error to tilt and does not work. You're left with split pins on each side.

I feel like it’s easier to bowl strikes in Wii Sports versus bowling strikes in this game because in Wii Sports, the pins go flying when you bowl a strike.

Online starts adding random obstacles to force people to know more than one technique, so there's still skill involved in the competition at least.

Bowling lanes are flat they have to measure if the lanes are flat to be legal so idk why the game forces q stright ball to the right or left

Make sure you swing your arm back and forwards straight, don't throw your arm in any other direction. Just literally throw your arms out. ALso make sure you don't turn your wrist at all. The entire time my joy cons remains facing upwards toward the ceiling.

try giving the controller a slight turn to the right at the very end. also make sure the red line is exactly center, even if its covering the middle arrow it may still not be center

If you're throwing super straight shots, try going for just left or right of the center (the pocket). If you throw fast enough, it's gonna give you consistent strikes. A good position is just left or right of the center arrow so that the line doesn't overlap any arrows. Make sure the arrow is "flush" with the line on either side.
