Now, I am older and I thank God that I had a momma who made sure we knew about Jesus and Salvation. Momma is in Heaven now but one sweet day we will meet again. @ivorykeys15665 жыл бұрын
@@scatteredseedsofhappiness3285 The Word of God has not changed. The same old fashioned way of living for Jesus Christ STILL applies today. Satan has crept into the churches unawares and people don't even recognize him. The reason.... so many of the so called pastors don't posess the New Birth. The Bible tells us how to be Born Again - When brother Peter and the other 119 came out of the Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost, and was staggering like drunk men under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, and was asked by What must we do to be saved?, Peter told them the Eternal Prescription right there where the Church first started, in Jerusalem, NOT at 325a.d. at the Nicea Council. The prescription given on the Day of Pentecost is STILL the ONLY WAY. THE PRESCRIPTION : ACTS 2:38(Read verses 36-39. So that last verse tells you it was not just for them back then but for ages and ages to come, on and on..... Interestingly, verse 40 also warns for us to save ourselves from "This UNTOWARD" Generation. That is perfectly the Laodicea Age we ate living in. Untoward simply means "Difficult to manage "
@scatteredseedsofhappiness32855 жыл бұрын
@@ivorykeys1566 so you are telling me that you live like the first church? You sold all you had and gave the money to the church and live in a community? Is the old time religion you talk about the one your grandmother had? Then it's not the same as the apostles and the first church in outer form even though it's the same message. This sister singing is not wearing a head covering either, it would be unthinkable for a woman in the first church to not cover her head while praying or prophecying. This sister is singing in front of a microphone, they didn't have that either in the first church. I agree with most of what you said about new birth and such but that has nothing to do with modernizing the church. I am not talking about opening spaces for sin to come in freely, allowing girls (and boys) to dress in overtly sexual manners etc, I still defend the very same message the apostles preached but we DO NEED to modernize our churches, respecting and honoring our heritage but knowing the times we live in when it comes to decorating our buldings etc. I don't wish to debate you so I won't reply any further. God bless you, have a great day.

There's no greater way to give glory to God other than being like his son Jesus. Just singing songs and having a form of religion but denying the power..... which is the Word, the Commandments etc is of no value. If we have sin in our lives we're not going to heaven. If God allows sin in heaven, then Satan can argue that he can re-enter
@bellagrace98125 жыл бұрын
@@cleavisbutkus9373 We are no longer under the law (old covenant) we are saved by grace (new covenant). God knew man could never live a sin free life and this is why he sent his son to die on the cross for our sins. Those who live by the law die by the law and will be judged accordingly. There is no judgement in Christ and his grace can cover a multitude of sin. How precious is the blood of Christ who died for us and loves us enough, though we were in sin forgives us of our sins and if we confess our sins before him he will wash us as white as snow. When the thief on the cross ask Christ to remember him when he enters into his kingdom, Christ did not say no sin is allowed in my kingdom, he said surely today you will be with me in paradise. All he had to do was have faith that Jesus was the Messiah and rest in Christ Jesus. I am so thankful for his love and grace

The sweet little lady just blesses my heart every time I listen to this. She puts me in mind of my great grandfather. He lived to be 96 years old and was a pentecostal preacher and singer. Probably the biggest influence on me and the love I have for music to this day. When he was 90 years old me told us at our Thanksgiving dinner that he wanted to learn how to play the violin. He went out the very next day he went out and bought him a violin. About a month later we had our family Christmas dinner he decided to play us a song on the violin he was learning to play. He played the Christmas song Silent Night. You would have thought he had been playing the violin for many years with the flawless performance he played. He passed away in 2011 but left behind his love for music and most importantly love for Jesus to his family I was blessed to have him in my life and can't wait until I get to see him again. Thanks for posting this.

I love that old time religion, it was good for our fathers, it was good for our mothers, and its good enough for me, it will takes us all to heaven, only if you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ,amen.

@@single2005woman Does taking out a contacts that's in 2 parts he also says faith that is talking by grace that's very reason Christ came he blood and die for us he did the work for us on the cross so we don't have to go to hell. And works is talking about showing good fruits It's not working weight to heaven it showing evidence that your are a Christian. If we can work our way there was no need for Christ to come and die on the cross he would a wasted his time if we can do ourself. Salvation and works is 2 different things Salvation accepting Jesus Christ as our personal savior Repenting of our sins next cepting him. Showing good fruit Showing evidence that we are Christians the both Go. together
@single2005woman4 жыл бұрын
@@jonathangoodwin457 Nothing I said was taken out of context. Christ didn't do your work for you. Christ said he was our Example Not our Substitute. Jesus said... 'For I have given you an *EXAMPLE* that you should do as I have done to you' John 13:15 Christ said... 'I am the light of the world: he that FOLLOWS ME will NOT walk in darkness, but will have the light of life' - John 8:12 The atonement is to take away your Past sins. Sins that you are to Repent & Forsake. Indeed, the work is bearing good fruit. Christ didn't come because we were unable to do good. God made us in his image and that image was able to do good. Christ came for the lost. In order to be lost you must 'Go astray'. That's not someone who couldn't do good. That's someone who refuse to do good & needed an atonement to forgive him of going astray. If you keep on sinning you have rejected the atonement that Christ died for you. Christ came to set you Free From Sin not to keep you in bondage. Salvation & works go hand in hand. There's no salvation apart from works. If you have evidence of Christ like fruits you are his. You must walk in Christ' fruits to be his. If that's what you agree upon then the rest of your comment contradicts your last sentence.
