So yes Jinx and Silco's relationship is suppose to be uncomfortable, but not because Silco is genuinely creeping. What's happening, Is Powder's/Jinx's mind was extremely emotionally stunted in episode three. Her braids and drawings are there to help convey that her mind is still trapped in the setting of being ab 8-11 years old. So with that, she has boundaries with Silco that are akin to a very young child and their father. For an 8 year old, it's perfectly normal to sit in your parent's lap or to lean on them, so Jinx does so bc she doesn't fully grasp that it is no longer appropriate for someone her age. Silco on the other hand, wants to be a comfort for her, and DOES want to help her heal. Problem is, he is very traumatized and handled it in a vert unhealthy way, which causes him to not draw lines in the sand with Jinx. It's a very complicated, very toxic relationship, but the love/care for one another is real.

You know they nailed the character dynamics because I had the EXACT same thoughts. There were multiple scenes where it seemed like Silco was uncomfortable with the lack of boundaries Jinx was showing and specifically pulled away during moments where he could have abused her intimacy to “groom” her. One thing I noticed but never conceptualized until now was Silco having these moments but almost being afraid or embarrassed to mention them to Jinx, I didn’t understand until now that it really highlights how warped their relationship is where this all powerful underworld boss is legitimately intimidated by Jinx and unable to assert himself at the risk of alienating her. On first watch it gives a lot of people the impression that there’s an ulterior motive (grooming) or something but he’s just genuinely on the back foot and reacting to her in most scenes. He knows her attachment is toxic (even beyond their standards) but won’t actually address it because he’s afraid of both losing her to a healing process or being shunned like Vi for “abandoning her” by rejecting her affection. He has more adult ways of dealing with his trauma and functioning but ultimately he needs her more than she needs him and he knows it.

I'm really glad Eric decided ro watch 3 eps at once, cause he didn't know the release order at first and qas planning to watch 2 eps per recording, and he wasn't too invested by ep 2. So glad he decided tk watch the 3rd ep cause man that episode is such a great hook. The 3 act structure was really good cause it gives you enoigh to chew on while still pacing it out well.

jinx lays on silco because she hasn’t mentally matured, and silco allows it bc he raised her like his daughter. i think they make it iffy at first on purpose, but he is her father and nothing creepy actually happens with them. jinx is just very affectionate and childlike bc she has been severely traumatized. vander also picked them up when they were children
