I don't really get that point too much because like 90% of the top tiers are made up of characters in vanilla Strive (Sol, May, Nago, Leo, Ram with the only exception being Asuka and Chaos)

I think the reason Dizzy was able to start the normal run animation was because she was doing it AS the ice was appearing, before it properly went into effect. So there is still hope. But it'll be even better if she got that royal privilege >:)

In GGXX and GGXrd, Dizzy was able to dodge an opponent's lower-level attack with a dash I think they are not affected by the ice because there is no hit point at their feet

Id rather get zoned to death than get tossed in a fucking vortex and die because i didnt lab the 13 different options the character has on each knockdown. Id rather try to fight my way in than lose 80% health after not reacting to slayer dashing through me after landing command grab.

the thing about wings of light that I keep thinking about is that theres very little cost in starting it up anyways. She doesnt lose meter until the damage starts and if you're ontop of your opponent you're burning them and if they run out of range of it you can just cancel. Its a move that forces the opponent to respond and mental stack, on a zoner. Its kind of a F it why not? type of move. especially if she can start it up on wall splat and keep after wall break

Hey Gekko, there was some exclusive gameplay shown for Dizzy and the ice field does in fact affect both characters. Meaning that both players momentum are altered

The thing that scares me most about dizzy is that she has a way to spend a lot of meter on offense. If she gets positive bonus once she just wins, my thought is that if she can get one gold burst on you she can probably just activate wings and win. The first thing I want to say is that if you think the wings long windup time is a bad thing you're absolutely mistaken because under positive bonus she'll gain enough meter to do a 100 meter dump right into your face and the good ones will do 75, drop it build more on offense and get another positive bonus.

I dont think she looks broken honestly. Yeah the wings special is insane but its kind of unrealistic to land in a real match. Rounds in strive are literally like 30 seconds. Its a bit like the slayer super, everyone went crazy in the reveal but super mappa hunch is actually more of a problem

As annoying as she may be, at least her numbers will drop off fast. Passive zoners like how Dizzy is now just aren't a well liked archetype amongst the masses. Hell, even aggressive zoners like Asuka aren't played often either.

I still don't get how wtrive manages to be so gutted compared to other guoty gear. And for most the cast it worked well even if I'd like to see a few moves come back. But then we get that most experimental zoner ever. Happy chaos. Yu-Gi-Oh. The character with 3 special moves but it's actualy 10 because one move has 8 variants. Puppet character but you have 3 puppets at the same time. And now a fuck you to ground phisics? Like even them fighting heard wouldn't pull any of that. Heck I bet no old guilty gear would try that. Why does strive has ice, ice, thoses wings, on the same character. And still feel like it was gutted from previous games.
