Cause they also had Stephanie Beatriz, Marc Evan Jackson, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye, Don Cheadle, Jason Mantzoukas, Jaime Camil and many more! 21:14 Yeah, that is basically what happened. Donald Duck has ALWAYS been incomprehensible. It’s one of his key traits that make him, him. It’s definitely done on purpose, we aren’t able to fully understand him. In fact there’s a whole episode that pokes fun at this LOL. Hearing you call him Daffy made me cringe but I know it was an honest mistake! 😂 I would LOVE to see you react to more DuckTales, it’s a great show!

Ducktales 2017 is genuinely one of my favourite shows. The writing is phenomenal and emotional and I adore the fact that the triplets get their own personalities. Also, as a European who grew up with the Donald Duck comics, I love how they incorporated a bunch of the lore established in those comics

The Ducktales reboot is a GREAT show. It's how reboots should be - it took the good parts of the originals, turned them up to 11, and fixed the problems from the OG. The cast is great, the character writing is superb, the jokes are plentiful and range from crass to genius, and it even has some really cool dramatic beats throughout. Its biggest flaw is that it ended.

17:08 probably because he is a military vet and has years of unresolved trauma, giving him anger management issues, which in turn cause him to be set off by the simplest thing. and that's not a joke btw. sgt. donald duck has a real life military service record and you'd have to go through the irl military, if you'd want to take a look at it. (although this series proposes, that his anger issues are caused by his speech impediment and years of pent up frustration of being unable to communicate with others properly because of it, since no one can understand what he's saying.)

Huey kissed a worm because it was a giant creature strangling them and the only way to dispel it was with “affection” and uhhhhh nevermind Anyway I think you’re misinterpreting the family tree a bit 😅 Huey (Hubert), Dewey (Dewford), and Louie (Llewellyn) Duck are the nephews of Donald Duck (twin brother to Della Duck, the mother of the triplets). Donald and Della’s maternal uncle is Scrooge McDuck, making him the great uncle (or grunkle) of the triplets. There’s also Webby, the granddaughter of Scrooge’s assistant Beakley Do not confuse Della Duck with Daisy Duck. Della is Donald’s sister, while Daisy is Donald’s girlfriend I’d love to see you react to the whole series!

Also Scrooge’s girlfriend is Goldie O’Gilt, but in the Christmas Carol special they cast Daisy as Belle instead. I guess because they thought Goldie wasn’t recognizable enough and they wanted to have Daisy in it somewhere? I believe the in Canon explanation comes right before in a version I had on tape: Mickey mentioned that all his friends got together to tell the tale of a Christmas Carol. Cue music. There was, of course a lot of typecasting going on, but then I guess there were a few odd characters that didn't really fit, so they got shoehorned in somehow. Like the scene where apprentice Scrooge shared a scene with Huey, Dewey & Louie as if he were only a few years older than them.

ducktales is one of the most fun series i've ever watched and i definitely recommend it! the finale dips a bit due to disney axing it and the team had to wrap it up as well as possible within the time constraint they were given, and it has its ups and downs, but generally it's really fun. the triplets have one of the best siblings dynamics television and throwing webby in just adds in the chaos.
