Мы начинаем с вами интересную и важную тему - использование перфектного инфинитива (perfect infinitive) в английском языке. Такой вид инфинитива часто используется после модальных глаголов. Он всегда выглядит, как have + 3 форма глагола (похож на present perfect).

Thank you for the lesson. 1) It's a bit tricky but she was at Sarah's home back when. 2) Because she was exhausted, she was so tired with her studies, absolutely done with it and she dozed off as we know. That's why it could have happened to her, she couldn't hear anything. 3) Jack told Claire over the phone the following: They were hanging out on a stand-up show when he lost Sarah. 4) So they're hanging out in the club when suddenly they heard a shotgun, at once Sarah thought Jack was pulling her leg, but it wasn't a joke, then Sarah was gone. Jack couldn't find her in the crowd. 5) As far as I think she could have known something about Claire, maybe her friends, acquaintances who know about her. But in fact, this story reminds me Colombo TV series! Sarah could have had a perfect alibi.. :D

Доброе утро! Спасибо вам за ваши уроки. Все разложено по полочкам, все подробно, все, как я люблю)) Нашла ещё один способ подкреплять изученный у вас материал на практике. У меня есть парочка книг на английском языке, и когда я прохожу какой-то юнит у вас, то после него читаю главу в книге и ищу пройденные конструкции, останавливаюсь на них и анализирую так же, как вы сами это делаете в своих видео. В итоге ещё лучше усваивается материал. Думаю, это ещё хорошо потому, что пока у вас не вышла практика к дальнейшим юнитам, и пока практики нет, ее можно "найти" в чтении. А потом посмотреть видео, которые выйдут у вас. Также хочу добавить, что благодаря вам я понимаю где-то 70% текста, читаемого в тех же самых книгах. Пока что это "Гарри Поттер") есть страницы, где понятно абсолютно всё, но встречаются незнакомые слова.

Я очень рада вашим результатам. Хочу отметить, что Гарри Поттер в оригинале - это не просто детская книжка, это полноценный английский текст, рассчитанный на грамотного носителя языка. Там куча сложной грамматики, богатый словарь. Так что вы нашли для себя отличную практику. Я со своими учениками делаю то же самое - берем книгу для чтения, когда мы находим грамматику из этого или прошлого урока, то обязательно акцентирую на этом внимание. Так очень хорошо запоминается.

@@okenglish-practice О! Тогда я рада, что способ нашла действенный. Действительно, словарь очень богатый. Меня особенно поражает то, что очень много есть слов для выражения того, с каким оттенком сказана та или иная фраза у персонаж. То он "пробормотал", то он "рявкнул", то ещё что. Но заметила, что, внося в словарь эти слова, потом они автоматически запоминаются, нет нужды записывать в отдельную тетрадь. И разных устойчивых выражений очень много! Так сразу акцентируется внимание на выражении, ведь оно необычно. Например, в Гарри Поттере было "hands-on experience". Хотя это не совсем то, что я имела в виду, но похоже

Да-да, текст стоящий. Именно поэтому я не понимаю всех тех скептиков, которые говорят, мол, глупо учить английский по Гарри Поттеру. С моей точки зрения, сюжет веселый, есть аудио книги, есть фильмы. Т.е. можно тренировать сразу несколько навыков. За счет объема текста, к концу 1-2 книги вы точно очень существенно улучшите свои навыки английского языка. Я понимаю, что один текст не может нравиться абсолютно всем. Так что всегда можно подобрать что-то другое. Но само качество текстов о Гарри Поттере выгодно выделяется на фоне многочисленного современного "шлака". И, конечно, чтобы оценить это качество, нужно читать не наши довольно печальные русские переводы, а оригинал.

Фильмы уже смотрела с субтитрами давно, но теперь, думаю, можно рискнуть посмотреть без них, чисто для практики. 2-ю книгу уже дочитала) Понимаю, что 3-я вообще пойдет в 2 раза легче. Если раньше переутомление приходило довольно быстро, т.к было много незнакомых слов, непривычно было переключаться на другой язык, то во 2-й книге уже могла читать по главе-две без особой усталости, а к концу книги прочитала 100 страниц за день. Так что практика незаменимая! К тому же, действительно, читать в оригинале - прекрасно. Нет путаницы в переводах, нет "борьбы" за то, какой перевод краше, ведь есть оригинал, в котором ничего не упущено!

Елена, у меня комментарий к вашей фразе на 21 мин. 15 сёк. вашего ролика. Вы говорите, что перфектный инфинитив передаёт время. Но по определению, любой инфинитив не может передавать ни время ни лицо. Насколько я понимаю, во фразе - he could have come up with, время передаётся с помощью - could, а с помощью перфектного инфинитива передаётся тип действия. Кстати, в русском языке есть только один инфинитив, а в английском их шесть, плюс, ещё голый инфинитив.

Если, по вашему мнению, could в данном случае передает время, то какое это время? Present/ Past/ Future? На основании чего вы так думаете? Давайте еще несколько фраз - определите время и объясните, почему именно так. Напоминаю, что время в английском передает глагол, а не вспомогательные средства. I could read at the age of 5. Where is he? - He could be at college. Come to the party tonight. You could have a great time. Mary got divorced? Who could have thought. Could you give me a glass of water? Что меня интересует - действительно во всех примерах время передается через could? Действительно во всех примерах время будет одинаковым (ведь could визуально не меняется)? Я правильно понимаю, что could've не только как предположение о прошлом может работать, но и как упрек кому-то или сожаление о чем-то? Упрек "you could've come over" - мог бы и в гости заглянуть (но не заглянул) Сожаление "I could've just start talking to her" - я бы мог просто взять и заговорить с ней (но не заговорил)

Подскажите пожалуйста, не могу понять разницу. Допустим, такие примеры: 1) I couldn't come because I was busy at work. 2) I couldn't have come because I was busy at work. В 1 случае физическая возможность, а во втором тогда вероятность? Я не смог прийти, и я бы не смог прийти. Не вижу разницу между этими предложениями. Спасибо

Я переведу оба примера: 1) I couldn't come because I was busy at work. Я не смог прийти, потому что был занят на работе. 2) I couldn't have come because I was busy at work. Я не мог не прийти, потому что у меня было много дел на работе. Смысл для англичанина разный. 1) Я не пришел (на праздник), потому что было по горло дел на работе 2) Я не мог не прийти (например, на работу в тот день), потому что было много дел на работе (и нужно было их сделать, я это знал, поэтому пришел). Слова, как будто,похожи, но смысл начинают транслировать совершенно другой. Но это вы начнете понимать, когда у вас наберется достаточно практики, чтобы вы начали ощущать эту тонкую грань.
