Awesome job! Very informative video and you taught me a thing or two I didn't know before. What do you recommend for Fungus Gnats. I had them once before. Was not fun. Please let me know what you would do. Thank you!

My peace lily gets brown flowers. Is it lack of humidity or not enough sun? I see new leaves growing so i know it must be pretty healthy. It is just that the flowers turn brown pretty rapidly. I have it placed in a very low light area. I mist it often because my apartment can get dry. I also fertilize it and the plant looks great for the most part. Thanks for your channel! Great tips! ☺

We currently do not have any fact sheets on Peace Lillies here at Oklahoma State, but we found one that is very helpful from the University of Florida, as well as an additional website. Hope they are able to give some more insight to your issues! Thanks for tuning in! I have about 50 house plants or more. Is there a better way to get rid of or avoid the dumping of the Extra water un the bottom? How about if I fill containers and leave then sit over night before I water? So the clore en can evaporate? .

@OKGardeningClassics7 жыл бұрын
+mardel3 thanks for tuning in! The Aglaonema Maria is a low light plant, this houseplant doesn't like full sun.

My snake plant started to have it's leaves curl within themselves, my pot has no holes, I wasn't watering it often but it was by a window against my central heating which I moved away from already. Will the damage be reversible or is there anything I could change? Thanks

I bought a tropical plant today from publix and it doesn't have any drain holes? Is that normal for some or should I consider putting some holes in the plastic pot?
@OKGardeningClassics8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! If you plan on keeping the plant in the plastic pot it came in we suggest drilling holes in the top and placing a saucer underneath to allow the water to run through. Happy gardening!

Can you show us how to wash out the salt and tell us how to avoid it? Also why applying the soap insecticide every 10 days? Can I apply it every day?
@OKGardeningClassics8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! To wash the salt out of a root ball you simply just give the plant a rinse before repotting it. The cause of salt buildup ranges from the salt content of the soil, to the water you apply, we encourage you to use the practices suggested to avoid the buildup of salt. Also, applying the insecticide soap varies too! The brand you are using should give you directions on the bottle for optimum results. Happy gardening!

Water in the saucer not just the salt. Here in the tropics the mosquitoes love to breed in the stagnant water.

I like to repot my plants because I don't want any gnats and other bugs in my home. Is it better not to repot it or can I repot it in the same size container?
@OKGardeningClassics8 жыл бұрын
+sweetbabigrl It should be fine to repot in the same container as long as it's been throughly cleaned out.
