Okinawa Sanshin || Shamisen Japanese Music Instrument

The Southern island of Okinawa has a unique history and culture, influenced by many Asian countries thanks to its central location as a trading nation. Okinawan music is famous, and most traditional tunes feature the three-stringed sanshin.
Distinctive not an ancient Chinese instrument, the sanshin evolved into an unmistakable symbol of Okinawa that is still enormously popular today.
