Here i think this is the quote he uses if I’m wrong please fix and point out the mistakes. save you's a bit of time because a girl that has nothing better to do with her weekend did it for you. you’re welcome. "sometimes i wonder less how to shift the paradigm than how psychology got so off base. how did it so cut itself off from reality. where else in the world would a human soul be so divorced from the spirits of its surroundings even the high intellectualism of the Renaissance to say nothing of the modes of mind in ancient Egypt & Greece or contemporary Japan allowed for the animation of things recognising a subjectivity in animals, plants, wells, springs, trees, & rocks. Psychology so dedicated to awaking human consciousness needs to wake itself up to one of the most ancient human truths we cannot be studied or cured, apart from the planet" James hillman:

Do the peoples of Okinawa consider themselves Japanese?
@BigIslandKobudo4 жыл бұрын
Many do. Many don't. It's complicated. Probably all consider themselves to be CITIZENS of Japan. Fewer make the distinction that they are Japanese citizens but ethnically Okinawan. If you go to Hawaii, Okinawans will be more likely to say, "I'm not Japanese, I'm Okinawan." Okinawan identity is very strong in Hawaii, and I would imagine in California as well. The indoctrination in Okinawa has been going on so long, that I imagine that younger (mainland) Japanese people would consider Okinawans to be Japanese, and would not really discriminate against them. It would be an interesting thing to do a survey or study on. Thanks for your comment.

@@BigIslandKobudo thanks for the reply! i just found out i have family in Okinawa so i was learning about it. I didn't realize that japan screwed over Okinawa so badly during WW2, and now we are just going to hand over okinawa to japan...makes me a little sad, you know? Give it back to the people so they can make it into a huge cultural site and attract some tourism lol!

I personally don’t. My family doesn’t consider themselves Japanese either. They faced lots of racism and discrimination from Japanese people

@@aolani1615 Thank you for the reply. Is it true that in world war 2 the Japanese killed anyone who they heard speaking the Okinawan language? Also how do you feel the Americans have treated Okinawa since we put a military base their?

I imagine they are in a similar boat as hawaii. Both got fucked by both us n japan and both have their own unique cultures that separate them from their mainland counterparts. Cant speak for em but in hawaii a lot of us dont agree with how it played out but also do enjoy the perks of gettin to be part of a global power. Or it could just be stockholm syndrome 🤷🏽♂️
