It says a lot when two chefs help you achieve your dreams and the other five contestants are devasted upon his elimination and rejoicing in his triumph.

When I first watched this season I was rooting for Gabriel but then when he was eliminated I cried so hard and cried even more from the amazing once in a lifetime offers from Gordon and Aaron. Even watching it again on Hulu 3 years later my eyes still water from this episode. I don't think there is anyone in the world who has that much talent like this young man would ever decline an offer as amazing as that. Those three judges see a lot of potential in Gabriel and they know he'll be the next Gordon Ramsay. Gabriel will make a name of himself I guarantee it!!

When I originally watched this, I knew he was going home based on the pasta technique but I was completely shocked yet excited to see him getting taken care by the judges at the end. And the fact that all the other cooks were totally shocked and emotional over this elimination not wanting him to go home really showed the good sportsmanship in that kitchen that season which was extremely rare. Well deserved Gabriel!

Losing for him was best because he gained so much out of it. Gordon Ramsay is so nice to have done this as well as the other guy offering a job. He said he did that without school, in time given chef ramsays offer he could be his sous chef or a head chef somewhere, then getting a job offer? That would be overwhelming for someone his age to have the most famous chef see that much potential in you.

Then Gordon starts speaking and I like Dino's face at about 1:05 as if he is thinking "oh? is there more? there a silver lining?" then obviously the reveal. "Fast food? If this were me, I'd be very worried about letting him down. I have a few learning disabilities and need to hava accommodations set in place to help me pass my classes. First semester I tried taking a full course load while also working, failed two or three of the classes (can't remember how many offhand) and had to drop one, and quit my job. Ever since I've only taken two classes per semester, and it's worked really well for me, I've often passed both classes each time, and the only ones I failed were biology and algebra, but I passed them the next time I took em. I've often been getting straight A's, so it's really been working for me.
