he's probably confused. Laurey would tease him, pretend she didn't like him, and then be all over him, sometimes in a span of a few moments. he knows how he feels, but he isn't completely sure what her true feelings are. that's how i see it anyway.

It could be because Oklahoma! was filmed in two different aspect ratios so they needed two takes for each scene? I think most versions are the CinemaScope film, but you might have seen the Todd-AO version. :)

Vow, I want to see this 50th anniversary version so much. I have seen couple of videos and they have remade the whole movie. Not just mastering the sound and picture. They have also cut out and changed lots of scenes and shots. I have just watich "People will say we are in love" and that scene is completely different to the 1955 original I have. Different camera angles and close ups. There must have been lots of raw material left from shooting of that film in 1950´s if they could exchange the whole scene like that. It has to be very different movie from the one I have. Unfortunately I am a foreigner so I can´t purchase the DVD as it is in region 1 only for US market :(
