Please bring back some of those BEAUTIFUL run options! I know we have to cater to the specialties of the QB but these run plays on here are magnificent and could bring a whole dimension to the team. God bless the wishbone! Yes ed, but wasn't it beautiful?

Troy Aikman didn't hate it at OU. He broke his ankle against Miami and was replaced by Jamelle Holleway who led OU to a national title. Aikman transferred because he couldn't reclaim his job from Holleway.

The wish bone was a sight to behold. Saw them called a running play on a 3rd and about 20. They made it.

Unreal how fast those teams were. Switzer realized years before a lot of coaches and speed and quickness would win games, Sims, Tillman, Stafford, Collins, Hollieway, Thompson, fullback Lydell Carr outrunning the entire Penn State defense. Amazing!

@@antoniohoward981 Nonsense. Air Force slam-dunked a strong Short Horns team in Houston only weeks after this game was played. I've seen lowly Rice beat Texas with the 'bone. Rules changes and a hostile press were the death of the 'bone.

Awesome video. At 0:47 he gets on his knees and thanks his invisible all-powerful friend who lives in the sky for helping him defeat the other team....but said invisible friend steadfastly REFUSES to give us the cure for coronavirus, so obviously said invisible friend is a complete dick, who doesn't love us.

@mbshanks1 Sam Bradford- Heisman Winner, First round #1 pick in NFL draft, best rookie in the pros. Born in Oklahoma City not Texas. Jason White, 2003 Heisman winner, Born in Tuttle, Ok not Texas. I think Oklahoma is holding it's own perfectly well with producing good players.

Remember when U of Houston got two Hiesman winners by going run-and-shoot or even zero RBs and spreading the ball out b/c teams were made to stop the run more often back then? What if the reverse happened and you got a physical team to run the triple option again and they would just chew up the clock and be a mismatch vs all these defenses made to stop the spread with 5-6 DBs and lighter LBs where you run at him or can option it?
