Bosworth was a damn good linebacker at Oklahoma and in Seattle as well. I've watched his NFL videos - he had great technique and was a force for 2 years. Injuries caught up to him after that, like it does to so many other players.

I lived in Seattle then and this man was a force on the field and provided a lot of energy to the great northwest. Labeling him as a bust is fucked up

He could tackle clean. Those Roids make those muscles fall of your tendons. He literally JACKED Up his own career indeed.

He was very good with great reading skills when the offense lined up. The anabolic steroid abuse definitely worked against his physical stature. The androgens weaken the tendons and bones.

Thanks for sharing these. Love to watch 80's era stuff. One of my favorite LBs of all time was Fredd Young who played alongside the Boz in 87.

Bosworth & Bo Jackson could have had a GREAT rivalry if they'd both stayed healthy. Everybody calls Bosworth a bust but he really wasn't a bad player at all.

an underated player, the media loves to undermine his skill because of his persona. the bo jackson thing is bull, everyone misses tackles in the nfl. the film on bosworth speaks for its self.
@rbg63115 жыл бұрын
in. 1987 he had 81 tackles&4 sacks in 10 games. in1988 had 82 tackles in ten games. six games he played hurt. in 1989 12 tackles in 2 games.

These two videos along with his numbers during his short career prove Bosworth was no bust. He had the shoulders of a 65 year old man. Just couldnt play anymore.
@rbg63116 жыл бұрын
His number with the Sooners was 44, and so named his company 44 Boz Inc. When he went to NFL, he did use the number 44 for 3 Preseason games, however once the regular season started the NFL would not let him use his number because those numbers were for defensive backs/safety, and numbers from 50-70 were for linebackers. He then filed a lawsuit and was only allowed to wear 44 for one game and then had to use 55.

The best thing about YOU TUBE is the ability to tell a story that needs to be told. I think you have done an excellent job here. Thanks for putting this on the net. How did you get a hold of all of this footage of the NFL games?

Boz was a beast! People always associate the negative with him but he was a hell of a player. Steroids, yes, so was 75 percent of the league. Bo Jackson ran thru him, yes, but Bo ran thru every linebacker.

BS Bo got 2 yards on that carry....Boz tackled him and was playing the sideline, Bo squared up and got 2 yards. Big deal. Boz was a leader Seattle in tackles (3rd), and was All Rookie NFL team, Defensive player of the week same yr

THE BOZ was FABULOUS!
@mikem5913 жыл бұрын
Boz was basically Dick Butkus in college. He was a good linebacker in the pro’s. The Bo Jackson game sort of skewed what kind of player he was. If he has stayed healthy I think he could have developed into a pro bowl caliber player. He just needed more time to develop, but injuries cut short what could have been a good career. He probably would have been like Gary Payton. Payton was dominant in college, but it took him a little while to develop in the pros.

Madjohne is on the money. On the Bo Jackson highlight I expected a more devastating physical dominance by Bo over Boz. I was unimpressed. It did not live up to the hype. If you see a lot of Bo Jackson runs you will notice The Boz did better than most in wrapping up the two sport freak. All I know is the amount of steroids the both of these dudes were doin cancelled each other out and Bo wins barely in that infamous clip.

Hi all Boz fans. Want more BOZ??? I recently have had requests for more videos on the Boz. As some may know I've been meaning to post more highlights, however the editing software, roxio that i previously had was so tedious. Need to find something more user friendly. If anyone has any suggestions, much appreciated. Would also like to know if there is a calling for the Boz's complete football games, college and professional,just thought i'd mention it. If there are any games in particular that you would be interested in watching, I will try and upload those as well. Again, thank you for your comments and support, I certainly appreciate the opportunity that KZbin has created awesome ads and thank them. Go Boz!! Would also like to ad that Brian Bosworth has viewed my videos and was very appreciative that i I posted these. I believe he mentioned, "humbled". If you view past comments, his name is okieboy44 :)

Hi, I'm rbg wife. Wanted to reply to the comment of the preseason highlights. The only reason these are the only highlights I made this far, is because I stopped. I always intended to put all his games' highlights for my husband, rbg. I just haven't gotten around to it. So as far as 'Volume' goes, there's nothing to it. Happy commenting

As someone with shoulder problems--it limits/wrecks your previous standard of athletic ability. Takes away strength and I can't imagine tackling 220-245lb guys with bad shoulders...not to mention taking on 300lb blockers...
