You still beat Bama and had a chance in almost every game without your starting 5 receivers if not for turnovers. Find a quarterback that doesn't loose you the game and you'll be fine. The OLine will be light years better next year and receivers can be found
@-sensibleChris2 күн бұрын
I agree. IF the Oline improves some, and we get a QB that can move the ball AND make the right decision to throw it away or run for a few yards when necessary. Even taking a sacknis much better than a fumble or Int. A smart QB like Gabriel or Baker was, would be ideal. Seems like Mateer would be the best fit, but he may not want to come here. I was r3ally hoping to see Zurbrugg next year, but he got out of 5own too. Playing QB at OU is a pretty good gig, so I think there will be some savvy QB out there that is eyeballing this situation.
@StrawHatTeen-k6i2 күн бұрын
Whomever the QB will be for OU this next season they are going to have to have a gool OL to protect them. Jackson Arnold and Michael Hawkins didn't have a chance this year. I think Dillion Gabriel is very smart and knew OU's OL was going to suck. Even DG would have struggled if he had stayed at OU. Coach B needs to step it up. No excuse for the sorry transfer portal picks he made last year.

Brennan Thompson wanting more NIL money to stay is ridiculous. He was either trying to take advantage of OU being in a bad spot, or he's delusional and thinks of himself as a 5'8" Megatron - either way is dumb as hell so he can hit the bricks. I'm done with all these fools.

There has to be rules put in place for those who did NOT produce….some kind of an index where 100% of the money is paid for 100% availability…….if not, you need to pay back (better, receive some portion up front then it’s “earned”) the money. Anderson had a great year of paid recovery (at OU cost) + NIL and did NOTHING for the team….this has to be managed with real expectations, an index, that is managed the same way at every school.

Evaluation versus recruiting versus development versus injuries !!! Kearny, Calderon Raggins you would not expect them to be difference makers, but after a full year, you would expect them to contribute!!! Is it time to take into account a valuation on Coach Jones? He is a man of great integrity, and they say he creates a culture and has great relationships, but does that translate to the field or people just drinking the Kool-Aid or a old school reference shucking and jiving !!! At this point nothing should be left to chance and remember New portable receivers are coming to a different state, different town, different student body, and as far as football goes, they may have to learn different fundamentals and techniques, and of course different schemes in a completely new offense!!!

What production have we lost?!?! This is being handled like a business (NFL) and the non-production guys are being processed. BT has potential, but didn't capitalize enough on his opportunities. The ones that have shown flashes, can't stay healthy. All of the big time programs are upgrading at the position, and no one has had a worse season at the position than us. WHY stay with what we have? It didn't work out this year and there's no room for error next year. BT likely left on his own, seeing that he will be pushed down the depth chart again after we bring in the new talent. We have 2 upper classmen alpha dogs with Gibson & Burks to lead the room. IF they were to leave, then the concern would be validated. #Boomer #RichLife
