What annoys me is that, despite that they try to make everything as realistic as possible, they still let Bayek do the rope-slide with his bare hands. For me, it is not the dust that is falling off, but the smoke from his burning flesh. When the rope were introduced in Revelations, Ezio slided these using a special hidden blade, so that metal was moving over the rope. But for a few games now, they just scraped this idea and make them use their hands -.- .

21. When slowly walking trough vegetation, Bayek will hold out his hand and move it trough the plants. (Like in the final scene of Gladiator, when Maximus walks trough the wheatfields to his wife and child.) 22. Guards pick up their fallen comrades, and lay them down somewhere else, mostly closed off buildings. 23. The loose sand blowing trough and from the desert dunes, reacts to the weather and moves in the direction of the wind. 24. Every npc has a go-to-sleep routine. 25. When his mouth is covered with some kind of appearal, Bayek's voice will sound muffled. 26. - Insert missed detail here -

I've seen Bayek hallucinate a burning bush ... That, snakes turning into staffs, raining frogs and bugs refer to events in the bible to Moses in particular... Which is old testament, and the Pharaoh is thought to be Thutmose II around 1479 BC. The Medjay though are old kingdom and stopped existing after 1077 BC but Cleopatra was kicking around much later from 69 BC onward and Ptolemy died in 47 BC so Origins timeline is a bit out of whack...

I found two new details today: 1. If bayek completely loots and finishes enemies at a base and then goes to a quest that was supposed to tell bayek to do that same thing ( this works if bayek did not accept the quest and completed it without knowing about it) then bayek will reply with something like: Really? By the gods grace it must be a miracle because I've already solved your problem! - I happened to clear some shatraj base in siwa and then going for the blacksmith quest after which I discovered this. 2. Enemies will mock you if you try to escape through water: I know that in previous assassin's creed games you could escape through water because the AI were dumb but here if you attempt to escape through water while being pursued, the enemy might say that: Escaping through water? Nice try, Get him!! And after that youre most likely to die with an arrow in the ass. It happened to me and was quite funny.

Some are interesting, like hallucinating in the desert, but most are just the usual particle effects and character animations you would expect to see in a modern big budget game. Maybe if this was an older game, then it may been impressive, but even then stuff like Senu coming to you is just an idle animation and they've been standard for many years.

How can you forgot setting a fire trap with oil jugs only to realize at the last second that you were stepping in oil the whole time and you get burned from your own trap? Or peeking over straw railings while having a fire arrow drawn leads to some hot times? The way combustibles and fire work in this game really changes the tactics of gameplay. I once had a fight where I was planning my attack and then a random horse came by spooked some civilians, the horse ran into me, we accidentally broke an oil vase which started a massive fire; at the same time two hippos started attacking the guards and civs. I used all of this chaos to hit my mark and then just stayed back and watched. Quite a few dead: a number of guards, 5 civilians, 4 horses, and the hippos. The whole area was pure carbon because of the wildfire. I said a prayer for those lost and then moved on. A similar deal happened on a civilian ship with lions...that was scary.

It is highly commendable the level of realism Ubisoft has put to the environment in this game. But they forgot to put enough realism in the combat. The way bayek and NPCs move so fast and still swing sword and shoot arrows makes it look unrealistic. AC unity had one of the best combat mechanics in my opinion. Ubisoft should bring in the free roam combat it had brought in the Prince of Persia warrior within, which is my favorite combat system of all time.
