Commenting to help boost this amazing content, if your seeing this WATCH the whole video you will not regret it. These are film documentaries that are expertly put together feeling like a movie themselves, my favorite parts are when the script crescendos into a music break with movie scenes always just perfect. You can tell there is a real filmmaker behind the scenes making these documentaries you will not regret it!!

I can't call him a great actor, im with Pacino on this. He's always inevitably Keanu playing different roles. But to his credit he puts forth the work to make himself entertaining. And as he says himself he's "the guy who played Ted" I couldn't imagine the matrix without Ted, or Ted grown up to be assassin John Wick. He's like Morgan Freeman in this matter, great guy whose acting scope is playing some variation of himself.
@Thathorrorguy12FU
@Thathorrorguy12FU 10 ай бұрын
In The Devil's Advocate when Keanu goes into his "I win!" rant. I'm like no no no please no! And it's because I see Pacino looking at him with that glimmer in his eyes. We all know that look. You see a Pacino scene where his costar, or whoever. It really doesn't fuckin matter. When anyone working with Pacino raises his voice,yells and god forbid goes on a short rant and you see that look in Pacino's eyes. Forget it. You have just witnessed a switch go off in the head of possibly the most loudest and extravagant actor to ever act. As soon as the other actor does his raised voice thing. Well what will come next is a complete contained absolute fuckin widman, and I love it. Every time with Pacino too. It's like "Here we go!" The eyes get wide and wild. No build up at all. No starting off in regular tone. It's just Pacinotime! And if you're very lucky, like watching Heat, or Glengarry Glenross,and of course Scarface, which he's constantly on cocaine (a lot). At least his character is(wink wink ntm Oliver Stone wrote it so think what you will, I have my theories). But what you're about to get from Pacino may make you jump out of your seat a bit. Kinda like a jump scare in a scary movie because he just skips the 1-5 decibels and just goes right for the 12. No anyone who's seen him in these performances you'd swear that some kind of possession has taken place. And I mean to this day. I watched The Irishman again just a few months ago and Jimmy Hoffa was a loud and very outspoken guy in real life. And at the time,it was kind of weird and maybe because he and DeNiro have probably been competing in auditions for films against each other forever, but Pacino had never worked with Scorcese. And that's insane, especially when you consider a lot of the Gangster genre films he's made. Mostly collaborating with DeNiro. No Pacino!? Ever!? I mean he was Michael Fuckin Carleone!. But then they want to do the Irishman. May possibly be Scorcese's last film in the Gangster genre who knows. And if this is the possible last film like this coming from Scorcese, we know he's swinging for the fences. As much talent and so much talent involved in this film is insane. Every person on the screen was either an absolutely legendary actor or was on track to becoming legendary and are now legendary as we speak. And then they come up to the role of Hoffa. We need a guy who does his own thing. We need a guy who's outspoken and has a commanding screen presence that demands your attention. And a man who can make you believe in him when he talks. A speaker for one of the biggest and most controversial unions at the time. Like this guy has passion, heart, and when he's making a speech, he's coming on to rile these guys up to borderline riotous with his voice and his egocentric " I'm Jimmy fuckin Hoffa and my union will not take shit from anyone and we rule the world because anything you got, you got from a truck driver by the Teamsters! End of story!" Type of mentality. Yes! 0- unimaginably loud and borderline insane! Who could we get? Enter Al Pacino. He was Hoffa. Even if they weren't deaging, he was Hoffa. Yes they did make a big Hollywood movie with Danny DeVito and Jak Nicholson played Hoffa. Not bad. But, if you really want a Jimmy Hoffa. It's Pacino. Now I mean yes. Pacino can act his ass off. He can be a quiet and reserved leader of a mafia family. Cool cool calm and collective undercover cop. Of course I mean The Godfather and Serpico. But even back then. Not The Godfather, but Serpico. That voice. I mean when he was doing a "WTF are you doing!?" In Serpico,we could see early signs of what was to come. In Scarface he was absolutely perfect and that's still probably one of my favorite movies. He was rarely calm, but for a few scenes he was. Not for many. And as the movie goes on and the bags of money and limitless amounts of pure white snow is flowing he becomes very irritable, angry, impatient,and had extreme rapid and violent mood swings. And it's like "Wow, this guy did his homework on how a true cocaine addict would be,act,live,react, everything. I mean he shoots and kills his best friend. Before he even had a chance to think about it. Had he given it like one or two seconds to think about it. Manny wouldn't have met his demise. However with Tony being up for days,on edge about everyone and everything in his life, there was no way there was going to be a second or two. Manny had no chance whatsoever. He then proceeds to go home and start a war with the most powerful drug kingpin in the world. Lol, I know this is a doc about Keanu. But I saw that clip from The Devil's Advocate with Keanu giving his all with his "I win" speal and just happened to see he was indeed yelling this to Pacino. And yes I saw that Pacino look. That glimmer in the eye. Keanu's character was making a point and he was making it loud and clear. And I just had to stop the video to just say how very appeciative I am of Al Pacino. And also I had to make a quick laugh obviously. I mean I love Keanu. But in my mind. I can see what is coming Keanu's way after his "I win" monologue. And yes! Keanu does win, no doubt. However he definitely loses. Keanu can act. I love and appreciate so many of his movies. Some of his films are my absolute favorites as well. However, and this is in no way any kind of insult whatsoever to Keanu. But it really doesn't do his career any favors at all whatsoever, to have him and Al Pacino having a scene like that together. Like a face off scene. An argument. And it's easily explained as very simple. Pacino is on so much of a higher level of acting that not only Reeves is on. But most of any other actors he shares the screen with is on. There are very few that can go head to head with this man in a scene. Keanu Reeves wasn't then and even now as we speak. He will never be an actor as believable or as locked in as Pacino. But in that particular scene, just watch it over for a moment on this documentary. And tell me that Pacino isn't ready to do his Pacinotime on Keanu's character. Just that quick glimmer in Pacino's eyes tells us it's about to get very loud and very fast. And yes, The Devil's Advocate was definitely a great movie. Keanu volunteered to take a pay cut to have Pacino in the film. And Pacino criticized his acting. I believe that Pacino definitely shouldn't have publicly stated that. I think that was wrong. Ntm Pacino had been acting for about 25-30 years before this movie came out anyways. So I mean c'mon Al! I believe he could have approached Keanu and had a talk with him and maybe gave him some pointers that could have helped him in his performances. I mean like I said, Keanu took a pay cut to have Pacino in that movie. And Pacino publicly shits on his acting. Keanu deserved a lot better from old Al. I mean if you could find two actors that are completely polar opposites and put them in a movie as the two leads. Well there you go. You get The Devil's Advocate. Sorry about that long comment. Don't like it. Don't read it. It's very true though. And I believe that Keanu's strengths definitely lie in the action films. I love the John Wick films. I mean I love them. He's very dedicated to this character. He's also playing a good part of himself in John Wick. As John is a man of few words. He's a man of action. He's a martial arts master. He's a gun enthusiast and a great shot as well. He makes the movie as grounded as he can by counting the numbers of shots fired. So he's such a gun enthusiast that he knows exactly which guns would need to be reloaded at the exact time that he reloads them. He's a car and motorcycle enthusiast and has nice cars and motorcycles. And he's had some serious tragedy in his life just as the John Wick character has. And I mean from losing very dear friends,to losing the love of his life. Also, I'll point out that Speed, The Matrix Trilogy,Point Break, and as I mentioned the JW movies are definitely his best work and his biggest successes and pay days. So he's definitely at his best when he's in action movies and has other actors that are also lead characters to act off of. Or in the case of John Wick, just a cold calculated killer, with a heart of gold. I can probably guarantee anyone that when he resurrected his career with John Wick and now the three other sequels. He broke the box office and home DVD records. Each movie was bigger and better. And if I say so myself between just The Matrix (first trilogy) and John Wick 1-4, I can guarantee that Keanu Reeves has made more money in them 7 films than any other films in his career. And despite that fact. I definitely enjoyed most of his other films. And he's not a bad actor. That's just Keanu's way of acting. Everyone has their own way. That's his. And at this point in time, well Keanu is as successful as he's ever been in his life. And it's great. And it couldn't have happened to a better guy. Well done Keanu Reeves. I grew up watching him.

I adore Keanu as a person, but I don't think he's much of an actor. My Own Private Idaho was definitely his best film.

Keanu turned down Platoon because he was a pacifist who did not want to be in a movie about weapons. ............ Well, that philosophy was eventually obliterated.....

@@annalisavajda252 The genre of the film and a different actor's personal experience has no bearing on Reeves' philosophy, though. His choice was based on "his own pacifism and his reluctance to be in a movie about weapons." The world and plot (realistic war vs fantasy) do not change the nature of the action that is taking place: Reeves holding weapons and hurting people with them. The *reason* for holding the weapon is never a factor; he just did not want to do it (which totally aligns with "pacifism"). Even if we agreed with the idea that the genre makes a difference, Chain Reaction, Point Break and Speed are not "fantasy". And Street Kings? Dang, that is about as real and gritty as Reeves gets!! Don't let that man near a shovel.... O_o

I have a funny story about Bram Stoker's Dracula. I was living in a share house, hadn't had a date in a while, and asked this girl out that I'd had the hots for, for a while. She said yes, and she liked horror, so we decided to see Dracula. My flatmate had just broken up with his girlfriend and he was hopelessly depressed, so I ask him along, what a friend I was! Anyway, we went to this popular pool hall (Pool was super popular in 1992) across the street from the theatre. We had a few drinks and forgot the time and suddenly realised we were late for the movie. We ran across the street and the theatre was packed. We had to get separate seats! Worst first date ever. It got worse - because the movie was long, and we'd had a few drinks we ended up having to pee breaks during the movie.
