So sorry you had the dog issue. Truth be told the dog needs a job. The breed you have is a working dog and is only happy and well when it gets to work. As much as you love the dog it will only keep being a problem. The dog could be a great heard dog. It sits a watches over its flock every min of the day. It craves action. My be a amimal farm with lots of action is the right place for this young energetic pup. There are so many dogs that need homes. You guys are so kind and loving. Thank you because you have saved that dog a few times now. Blessings. I watch all for you out there in central Portgual. I love that you are all friends and came call on each other at any time. I agree with Margaret T. Working dogs need to work We had a samyoid in Ireland 2 hours walk every am & 1 hour pm. As a teen pup it wasn’t enough. We have a very big park next to us( used to b a farm). He would be gone for hours This is after his walks. We’d be out looking for him he lived to be 15 yrs which is good for that breed

I'm really glad this story had a happy ending. I would just like to let you know that, by law, in Portugal you are obliged to cover wells or other holes that could cause the fall and emtrapment of people or animals. If you'd call GNR, you could get a fine because you didn't do it. The text and rough translation of the law (DL 310/2002, article 42) is below. There are other articles in this law, all regarding wells and stuff. I'd advise you to read it. "É obrigatório o resguardo ou a cobertura eficaz de poços, fendas e outras irregularidades existentes em quaisquer terrenos e susceptíveis de originar quedas desastrosas a pessoas e animais." Translation: "The protection or effective covering of wells, cracks and other irregularities existing on any land and susceptible to cause disastrous falls to people and animals is mandatory."
