We are Ken & Gina and we started making OKportugal videos back in 2019 when we decided to leave the hustle and bustle of the UK for a quieter life on a farm in Central Portugal. So happy you are integrating with your community! I find that lacking on other channels and I understand it may be due to covid, but it's time to start spredding your wings. I'd love to see you & Gina go into a coffee shop, place your order, and relaxing at a table enjoying delicious coffee and pastry. It's iconic Portugal and one of my favorite things to do when I visit. Show us one of the local churches. Regardless of religious persuasion, it's iconic Portugal. Go to a "feira" (weekly farmers market), it's so interesting. Go beyond your local community too. Show us the sights, but remember to always interact with people, ask a question or even just saying "bom dia" or "boa tarde" is enough. Limitless content for you and entertainment for us. Love what you are doing, caring for this farm. Portugal is very grateful that you and other expats are here! 🇵🇹👏❤

What a lovely vlog. I was only able to watch a little bit earlier but, got to enjoy it all just now. When I think back to the journey down in ‘Bob’ to what you’ve achieved, it is remarkable. You’re both so much more settled. 👍❤️ Gina’s ankle still looks bad. I know as I’ve had the same issue for 5 years now. Still swollen. But, I sleep in bed with my left leg on a pillow. Just to keep it raised. Sundays would not be the same without this vlog. I love it. 😉👍❤️

As a person who played basketball and had ankle problems myself, I would suggest Gina to try doing some ankle movements in that swimming pool of yours. It will hurt a bit at first, but a lot less than usual as well as it will help her get full range of movement sooner. best wishes and a speed recovery.

Hi Angela, we moved into the farm in December 2019 and shortly after were hit by the lockdowns so I'm not sure really if it was any different. Most of the houses are habited. It's just a very peaceful and quiet place 😊

I love your glimpses into life in Portugal, especially seeing both your friendships with other like Bea and Theo, as well as locals like Cristina and Joaquim. I had been watching them considering if I should sell up and move over but the recent heatwave of 30 degrees in UK was a bit much for me and then you said in one of your videos it was 40 degrees there so I think I perhaps need to be a bit more realistic about climate lol!! I still continue to watch however, it is such a fantastic way of life you have there.

Hello from Englewood, Colorado USA. Been following your exploits for several months and I really enjoy them. It looks like a ideal lifestyle. So peaceful. How is the internet conductivity there? Also, in the 80s I played golf on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa and loved the country and the people. But I’m very concerned about the unrest, especially about the farmers. With the many murders. Do you have any info concerning this. I know the ANC is quite corrupt and they’ve let the economy go to hell. But again, I do so love your videos. Keep them coming! I left South Africa 18 years ago and I stopped watching the news about 4 years ago as it was too depressing and out of my control. Life here in central Portugal is relaxed and slow paced. The Internet is good and in towns and cities you can get 1 gigabit fibre optic broadband. We use a 4G mobile WiFi router as we are in the middle of nowhere and get between 30-35mb download speeds and 10-15mb upload speeds which is fast enough for us.

I have been thinking, which is not always a good thing,but... I have being worrying as to what you can do with left over floor of the swiming pool. The cememnt slab. I think Bob should be put on it and for the time being create a tent for Bob so he can remain cool whilst you allow the wild grass to grow high and plant a few fast growing trees and maybe some kind of green fence around Bob. Or use the tent structure and have creepers grow on it this was taking the tarp. I dont know how far he is from water and electricity and if these are concerns, or is Bob self sufficient? Of course I am thinking that you are intending to put Bob to work alongside the yurts. The other idea would be to find a knook for Bab in your lovely forrest, which I have still to see.
