Bon Scott, aka Ronald Belford Scott, the singer who more than helped put acdc on the map, had passed away due to "death by misadventure". he passed out in the back seat of a car and when the people he had been out with checked on him the next morning, he was dead. the band was understandibly at an impass. the decision was made to find a new singer and rock on as they felt Bon would have wanted. Bon had even seen Brian Johnson perform and told the band.... "if anything happens to me..... check this guy out". they did, and less than 6 months later, "back in black" was released. "back" meaning they weren't going to stop, and "black" mourning the loss of Bon. that album solidified them as legends!!!!!! rip Bon and Malcolm.

This was the first album back for AC/DC after the death of lead singer Bon Scott. Brian Johnson took over vocals. I guess Brian was a roadie they heard him singing their music and hired him as lead singer.
