Now imagine , performing like them for over 50 years now , and selling out each concert they did , with each concert there has been about 80-100 thousands of people in the arena and another 10 to 20 thousands outside of arena watching jumping partying and watching it all on huge screens hanged outside of arena

The entire Back in Black album front to back is outstanding a straight up rock and roll party band from Australia. Also the lead singer is a replacement singer for their original singer Bon Scott he had passed away and this was their return album hence the name Back in Black. I was in 6-7th grade.

Usually when someone calls them hard rock I object and say they’re rock n roll. You said both in the same sentence. What makes you use both genres to describe them? “Lightning in a bottle moment” you nailed it. A lot of people are enjoying their videos of them now that they’re old, I like those to, but this was the first album for that singer after the death of the power singer, and they came out with this album with a boom. I was a senior in high school, and this album was blowing everywhere. But this video, which I’ve never seen, is bad ass, because it came out around the same time of the album, it is a lightening in bottle moment!👍

There’s two eras of AC/DC and this is the start of the second era. They started in Australia in the early 70’s. They had 11-12 albums before this: the album before this is Highway to Hell and it was the one that launched them in the US. But on a break during that tour the lead singer, Bonn Scott died after a night on hard drinking. That was 1979. A year later they released Back in Black with this new lead singer, Brian Johnson. This album is epic bc no one had ever been able to come back with a new singer like this and just crush it the way this album does. The first single released was Hells Bells. This is the Summer of 1980…no social media, no internet. Nobody know what to expect or what was coming. I was 15 and away at a Summer camp when I tuned in to a transistor radio to hear for the first time Hells Bells. When I see you guys hearing these songs for the first time and reacting, it takes me right back to that camp dorm when I first heard that bell ring out of that little radio. Amazing! From this album you should check out Hells Bells and Shoot to Thrill. From the Bonn Scott era a classic to try is Riff Raff live at the Apollo around 1976 or ‘77 (in Ireland/Scotland..not the one on Harlem). When they started they were barely out of high school and Angus was looking for some kind of a schtick or signature look and he settled in his school uniform. His brother, Malcolm played the rhythm guitar and wrote most of the songs. Once when an interviewer asked him what he thought of being considered one of the best guitar players in the world, he commented that he wasn’t even the best player in his family😂. They last video they released was in 2020 for the song, Through the Mists of Time. It’s emotional for someone like me who has listened to and loved their music since I was a teenager, hearing it when it was first released.

1981 driving down the road (I was17) in dads convertible blaring this song. Stop at a red light. Look around an realize all the people in the cars around me are jamming out to the music. One of the best concerts I ever went to was AC/DC, Judas Priest, and CInderella in one show

AC/DC is the best rock band of all times! The perfect mix of classic rock&roll and heavy rock. Is so intense, energetic and clean you can't help to move. Sorry for the rest of the bands but definitely this is the best band. Nobody now at days can make music like this nobody! Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷

Lyrics can get a bit old or mundane. Not much going on in the lyrics. Not much a thinking man's lyrics.

Riff Raff is a great early song from AC/DC and the official video is live so, a great example of what they were like when they were young.

I saw AC/DC back in maybe ‘81 with Molly Hatchet and UFO in Southern Cal as a crazy teen. Outdoor arena at the National Orange Show in summer. Hot HOT sweaty kids rocking hard. 😅

Another epic band . Angus young , like myself , was a Glaswegian originally . If memory serves me right he emigrated with his parents to Australia 🇦🇺. I’m sure I’ve seen individuals refer to him as Australian but he wasn’t

Hey guys. Enjoy watching your reactions. Now I'm 60, and like 2 of you, we grew up with 3 radio stations to choose from. If you had a car. Could you pick a year in the 70s and do the #1s of all the current genres. You would educate along of people.
