+Gods Reclamation 667 is freaking awesome because it has many channels u can customize .....satan is basically a thrasher that has kt88 power tubes instead of 6l6 power tubes...667 i would say is their most expensive......but as a lot of randalls are all designed by mike fortin, they some of the best...they beat mesa boogie for sure

Damn this amp and Ola sound so good together. Ola you will be known as one of the best metal musicians ever my brother. Not only are you a great musician , great lead and rhythm guitar player , you have a great attitude and energy . Appreciate you sharing your talents and for being an inspiration to all us metal heads. Just wish Dime was still around because you guys i believe would definitely be on a music project together. Unlike many, I actually like this tone rather than finding it weak. Out of box sounds already a bit djenty, I think it can pull it off with bit help of more mids. And perfect for that Black metal chords you put in there. Help with clarity of the mix,too. The scooped mids has that 80s feel and even many thrash bands today. Definitely usable. and man this thing's got lots of feature and adjustable variable in it.

I never really considered Randall as an amp option in the past but I have come to the conclusion that Ola can make any amp sound good.

Ola plays the same song in one of his Mesa Boogie Mark V demos and the difference is night and day, I prefer the Mark V tone. Either way awesome playing by Ola!!!

Ola spends enough time dialling in the controls and setting up the mic that the tone is already sweet (having God hands for his style of music helps a bit also). On the very few videos he does use a pedal it is the Od 808, though he will say so in the description and usually have text saying when it is on or off during the video.

No it's not, the Thrasher is pretty much the same as the Fortin NATAS but the Satan has added balls and EQ adjustments specifically for ola

no, the satan is a different design. based on nataS i think but adjusted to ola's spec. the randall satan is just a randall version of ola's fortin satan proto.

Pickups make a smaller difference than most people think in guitars. Body wood makes just as much difference as well as strings also makes a bit. Especially in bass. The amp makes 85% of it though.

Some amps do need a OD to sound modern and to get tight. If I use that in a demo I write that in the signal chain. If it's not in the signal chain then I'm not using it.

This amp went on sale today in the US. Gearhounds is the place showing it. Priced at $1,666.99 usd. However, when I hit add to cart, It discounted it another $250.00, reducing it to $1416.99 usd. Not sure why, but If you want one of these, that looks like the place to get it. They also have the Thrasher cabs for sale, listed at " $9,999.00 " Most likely a mistake. I know I wouldnt pay 10 grand for the ugliest 4x12 slant cab ever made...

I agree. Guitar and pickups are different, but still Mesa sounded much better for this kind of music. Not that Thrasher sounded bad but Mesa has this crushing sound we all know and love. Thrasher sounds so thin in comparison. :/

Sacredgeometry Get a Randall Thrasher dude. I’ve had mine for over a year and it’s become my primary amp. Crank the mids and bass on the thing with a set of high output passive pickups, and this is what you get.
