I was ran over by a truck at 15. After waking up after being in a coma for 3 months and on life support. And never being ble to Skateboard again. My dad bought me a SlimeDime Washburns and a Peavy Mack all tube head and a Peavy 412 cab. He rolled it into Doernbechers Hospital while i was still there for rehabilitation for 3 months and i learned how to play guitar in the hospital with a Dimebag slime dime and a 412 tube amp. I had a Pantera tab book and by the time i got out i was able to play alot of Pantera riffs. That guitar and Pantera saved my life and got me through some of the hardest times of my life. Sadly some crack head stole my guitar when i was robbed at gunpoint :(. I have missed that guitar sooo much. i keep hoping i will run into some day. It had a chip on the head stock from my buddy grabbing it to play and the ceiling fan was so low it hit the head stock :'( and chipped it. But yea i cant believe the hospital let my dad or me have that guitar in there. I would crank that thing up sooooo loud and you could here it out in the parking lot. I would get the other kids coming over and we would all sit and rock out and hang out together and i was happy to get all these other kids into Pantera. But there was 1 kid that came into my room at like 2am and was like Can i play your guitar in my room and just hang out with it. And i was like Hell yea brother. he just wanted to jam out with no one looking lol. yea good memories with that guitar. I just wish i still had it.

DR packs string like that to reduce packaging. Basically they put two entirely different strings together so you can easily tell which one is which without packaging each string individually. An alternative would be to color the ball end like D'Addario does.
@defectivetoaster77134 жыл бұрын
A few classical string brands do this too, putting one treble and one bass together to prevent the wire from breaking down

Met Dime & Vinnie 2 months before his end and it was the greatest day. Was a teenager and a little tipsy by the time they arrived. Bought a beer to drink w Dime but fkd up and gave it to Vinnie that had a case right by him. Not many teens can say they bought him a beer. They signed a hi hat bc none of my guitars I'd ever let get written on. Dime said "Your never playing this thing again!" and began slamming the fuck out of it on the table with the biggest smile on his face. Was great to see that. Didnt get my Dime'O Flame until 5 or 6 years ago but it's a beast. Saved a Razorback Explosion from an awful owner a few years later. Its beat the fuck up but the front managed to stay almost perfect. Had to take the floyd completely apart to clean it, it was filthy dirty. Fun guitars.

@Carvin5150CFH4 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Nguyen The ML shape was originally a Dean Zelinsky creation .Since he sold Dean guitars to Armadillo Enterprises, “Dean” guitars have suffered from quality control issues, and the company’s appetite to go after money has increased so I would bet if they saw another body style come out just like the ML they would try to sue. Ola knows that.Not saying what he said about not doing it out of respect wasn’t true,just saying this is part of it as well.

I highly encourage anyone with a Floyd Rose that changes string gauges and tunings all the time to look into getting the hollow point intonation system. It adds an adjustment to allow precise saddle adjustment. intonating becomes so much easier. I picked up a set for 35 bucks off reverb.
