The standing desk IS more engaging. Stay with it. I had 2 lower back surgeries and my surgeon demanded I switch to a standing desk. It has helped my back and hips tremendously. Old American football injuries coming back to roost. Ugh!!! Great Swola, by the way. Safe travels FTL this week!

The album is actually pretty amazing. This whole thing puts Mark in a different light musically and just shows the fact he is a genuinely great dood! I met him 2 times (playing on the same summer festivals) and he is just great to talk and hang out with. Such a down-to-earth dude! BTW - This whole Sinatra thing snowballed into now him doing a new version of The Godfather theme alongside Slash for the 50th anniversary of the movie and again - helping the charity. I am definitely gonna hard pass on the xmas-y songs, but kudos to the dude for doing it!

Referencing the modelers vs real amps topic, I'm starting to notice a big difference in response between the two. For quite some time, this was not a big problem. But now it's something that starts to bother me (maybe I'm getting old). Playing with high gain these differences in response become more subtle to me. But, with clean channels (yes, I'm old) I notice it much more. Maybe it's a psychological effect, or perhaps latency issues are a real problem.

For me, the biggest difference in modelers from real amps is feedback. That harmonic response you get when holding a note or a chord, I have yet to get that from a modeler. I wish companies would add a feedbacker feature in the software to at least help emulate that. Boss tried it, but it didn't work because the feedbacker feature was connected to a mediocre distortion or boost.

Ola..I had met Darrell and Vinnie Paul and Rex and Phil several times at Joes Garage in the Westside of Fort Worth Texas where I lived at the time..I used to stand in front of those Randall solid state amp head stacks and just get blown away..they were just a great bunch of guys that liked to jam and party and just have a Damn Good time at all times...I remember when Cowboys From Hell came out..Dammit we all partied our asses of at Joes Garage one of the few times they came there with the Cowboys From Hell made it big..just my all time favorite times of my life. You would have had a Blast there Ola..makes me sad when I think that the Abbott brothers are not here with us in person nowadays..but I know they are up there having the second go-round timew of their after lives watching down on us all !
