Sarah stopped in her attempt to kill Dyson because she realized she was becoming no different than the terminator. She was about to kill someone for something they haven’t done yet, which is Skynet’s plan to stop John Conner…

Arnold "reloading" with one hand is called "spin cocking". It was popularized in old cowboy westerns when lever actions were the predominant rifle. There's an epic scene in True Grit where John Wayne does it on horseback with a rifle in one hand and a pistol in the other.

Well, tthe first two films are fantastic, and the later ones kind of retcon the victories of this one: THIS should have made any further films impossible. If you can get over that seeming betrayal of the plotline, they're not bad films, unless you compare them to these. if you find yourself wanting a Terminator story, check them out, and see what you think. I will say that the brief TV series, "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" was quite entertaining, even if they re-cast all the main roles.
@hanng1242

The 3rd Terminator film is OK. I like it because it makes Judgment Day inevitable and loops everything back around so that John can send Reese back to the '80's and ensure his own existence. Everything after "T3: Rise of the Machines" is total garbage. I too endorse "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" starring Lena Heady before she blew up in fame after Game of Thrones. However, if one is planning on watching it, know that it will end on a very big cliffhanger at the end of the second season that never gets resolved because the show got cancelled. I really wish someone would acquire the rights and finish up the story in either a feature-length movie or a short mini-series (sort of like how "Serenity" finished up "Firefly" for the fans)

The next terminator movie is fine. It's..."entertaining", but not as moving, in my opinion. The next two terminator movies don't have Arnold in them, and they are definitely more standard action, but nothing special. The last one called Dark Fate brings back some of the old cast, but the movie is very "woke" and you probably wouldn't like the choices that were made to the characters. I didn't.

12:43 you're part of the lucky few who never saw the trailer before the movie 15:58 definitely holds a record for most dangerous passenger-side-bypassing ever 22:22 no secret, common sense, you can't have your hair down when you're doing some very physically active things whether it's cooking, playing sports, or escaping a maximum security facility 22:57 in case you're wondering why through the eye of all places, it's because a part of the brain is what prevents you from making a sound if impaled, and the t1000 knew it needed quiet at that moment 25:58 the doctors cameo in t3 is what makes it worth watching, sorry to spoil 26:58 because that piece could be used as a tracking device 28:47 / 37:51 will also be referenced in the beginning of t3 41:14 the t1000 had very recently been damaged

This was the super-extended edition. Scenes NOT in the theatrical version; The orderlies beating Sarah and forcing her to take her pills. Sarah's dream where she sees Kyle. It was deemed too similar to the later dream. The T-1000 killing the dog and then searching John's room. In fact, the room search scene isn't in the normal extended edition. The room search was cut because Cameron felt it made the T-1000 look psychic. The whole sequence where they open the terminator's head and remove the chip. Instead they dubbed a line about him learning from his contact with humans. John teaching the terminator how to smile. The scene of Miles telling his wife about his work. The scenes of them smashing up the lab with axes. It was deemed pointless if they were just going to blown up the lab anyway. The scenes of the T-1000 malfunctioning after being frozen and shattered. Cameron was afraid that people wouldn't understand that it was damaged and having problems. The happy ending in the park. This also wasn't in the normal extended version. The theatrical version ends with the camera going down the road at night while Sarah says that the future is now uncertain because if a terminator can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too.
@hanng1242
@hanng1242 2 жыл бұрын
Every one of these scenes that doesn't have a terminator in it either adds nothing to the film or makes it worse. The "happy" ending is particularly bad - it feels like the bizarre coda at the end of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" in that takes a dramatic ending, then throws in some PSA about being better people. The ambiguous one showing the road being driven on was much better. The three scenes that made the film better were: 1. the T-1000 killing the dog and searching John's room for clues on where to go next. 2. The part where the T-1000 is frozen, shattered, then thawed out a reformed. The hazard stripes on his arm to show it glitching out was good because... 3. The scene where John knows which is the terminator and which is his mother because the T-1000 was glitching out.

Dr. Silberman [the psychiatrist] ALWAYS annoys me: He has "made a career out of Sarah" (the exact thing he was bragging about in the first movie), even though he was present when the FIRST T-100 attacked the police station, now he is refusing, Dunning-Kruger style, that the T-100 was obviously robotic.

Both of the beings who come back this time are terminators, but that's not what Sarah meant; the two terminators she's referring to are the one sent to strike at her and the one sent to strike at John. In each case there's a terminator out to kill their target and a protector. I don't think you can paint Skynet as simply evil. From its point of view the first thing it experienced after becoming self aware was humans trying to kill it, so it lashed out with the only weapons it had available. After that initial confrontation humans are never going to stop trying to wipe out Skynet, so obviously they've got to go.

About the other movies; Terminator 3 - This movie is garbage. It has so much silly humor that it seems more like a comedy sketch than a Terminator movie. Terminator: Salvation - Somewhat better than T3, but still not great. Arnold only appears briefly through CGI. Terminator: Genysis - This takes whatever small amount of continuity the series had left and flushes it down the toilet. Terminator: Dark Fate - Both Arnold and Linda Hamilton return. It's also the only movie since T2 that James Cameron had any involvement with. This movie ignores all the other movies after Terminator 2. Many fans hate this one for one of the plot decisions, but given that so much time had passed since T2, their options were limited. I still haven't heard any better ideas for what they could have done, that wouldn't just be a carbon copy of T2. Personally, I liked Dark Fate. It's also now the only 'official' third Terminator movie after the original two.

Also i was 8 years old when i watched both movies the surgery scenes are my favorite in T1. Hi, I'm new to your channel and like your reactions a lot. I plan to binge your Jojo reaction soon ^^ About the 80's, there were a lot of problems too, but the mindset was different too, more free and carefree. I wasn't an adult back then (more like preteen-teen) so I can't really tell about the whole picture, but I found the music awesome (and witnessing young people like you enjoying it proves to me that this feeling is not only about nostalgia) and a lot of things we take for granted today were all new and exciting :-) (I'm stopping here because I'd be tempted to write pages at each previous sentences) Stay healty and keep your curiosity :-)

Well, THIS ending was supposed to be more hopeful and final. But the original and canon ending is more ambiguous.

IMHO ... you should watch at least the third one "Rise Of The Machines". It will kind of wrap up the series and explain a crucial point. After that .. the others are good entertainment but not necessary.

15:08 FUN FACT: None of the film crew wanted to risk their lives to get this shot of the truck in mid-air. So, director James Cameron grabbed the camera and took the shot himself.

I recommend "Alien," and the sequel "Aliens," plus "Blade Runner." Like the Terminator movies, these classic films were inspirations for games. And they're 80s movies. :) If you like the actor who played the old Terminator in this movie, he's done a lot of movies. IMO, one of his best is "True Lies." Put it on your list to watch later. If you like action films, which is mainly what this film was, you can try "Die Hard" and "John Wick." Great movies for your list.

Love this. You should definitely check out more Schwarzenegger movies. He's literally a legend. If you didn't know he actually became Governor of California. Everybody jokingly called him "The Governator". And he's such a cool dude he loved it. He did every type of role. Action, drama, comedy. If you want a comedy, he did "Twins" where he meets up with his twin brother. It's one of his classics and no reactors have done it yet since he had so many mega hit movies

Please ignore all other following Terminator movies, as Terminator: Dark Fate is the only canon sequel to this movie. And it has Sarah Conner, played by the same actress, in it again.

The Terminators after the 2nd one are completely useless. The real Terminator is the one created by James Cameron (i.e The Terminator and Terminator : Judgement Day). James Cameron refused to participate on any level to the 3rd one, and the other ones. He toughly criticized Terminator 3 in the newspapers ... Actually, the first Terminator and the second one are 1 ... When he has made the 1st Terminator, James Cameron did not have enough budget to do what he wanted to do, so he changed several things in the scenario for the realization of the film cost less money ... After the release of the first Terminator on the screen, the success of it make possible for James Cameron to make THE Terminator he wanted to do when there was a not enough budget to do it ... This is why there were similarities between them two ... The 2nd Terminator is closest to what he really wanted to do than the first one. IMO : you don't need to watch the other Terminators ... They are senseless, they're only here to make money, they don't really have anything to say ...

Idk how, but I knew you were more in love with the first movie. I could tell you loved it so hard I actually almost commented you won't like the second one as much as the first. Because of how you said you used to love sci-fi and just haven't watched a ton as of years. I knew t1 would hit every mark for a horror sci-fi. This one you'd like a lot but not hit all the same markers you wanted. Great reactions both!. When it comes to the first two. I like/love the first movie more. But I like showing people and friends the second movie more because they seem to enjoy it more so I have more fun and joy from their reactions for the first time on the second.

41:15 Why you ask? It’s a detail that James Cameron included in these deleted scenes. The “glitching” of the T100 after he was frozen then shattered is supposed to imply that the freezing did have a damaging effect on him. To give hope to the audience that it was possible to beat this thing.

Perfect reaction to this epic masterpiece of a sequel. This is one of the greatest sequels in sci fi movie history. Dyson was an underrated hero of this sequel. I like both Terminators 1 and 2 equally both are absolute masterpieces. Sci Fi movies at there absolute best.

Love this movie too, of course. It is the PERFECT ending to the Terminator series, and I hate that they defamed the name by putting out lame cash grabs stealing the Terminator name. Seriously, stop here and watch no more Terminator stuff. But Alien and Aliens should be your next ones, and they're both excellent James Cameron movies like these two. The first is more your style, as it really is a horror sci-fi film, but the second is very much action adventure like T2 was.

I am a huge Termimator fan and I say watch them all and make up your own mind. Personally I love most of the sequels, and still like things about the one that most people dislike. The thing to remember is that the people who dislike sequels in major franchises are often influenced by long held biases about what they expect. As a new viewer, without the years and decades to ponder the first two movies, you are potentially free from those biases and may be a lot more forgiving of things that sometimes disappoint long term fans because you haven't spent years building up ideas of where a sequel should go. Terminator 3 is the last direct sequel and is still pretty good. Terminator : Salvation is a grittier war film and the only installment that takes place entirely during the "Future" war against the machines. It is the first to not directly feature Arnold Schwarzenegger. Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, was a TV series which ran for two seasons and is an alternate timeline sequel to Terminator 2 that ignores the events of Terminator 3. It is also quite good but was canceled after ending on a cliffhanger. Arnold Schwarzenegger does not appear. Terminator: Genesys is the least liked but features Arnold's return while recasting other legacy roles due to the nature of the plot weaving I and out of the existing timeline in this soft reboot. I still like it. Terminator: Dark Fate is yet another alternate sequel to Terminator 2 that also ignores the events of Terminator 3. It features the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor and acts as yet another soft reboot.

The really incredible thing is that we are not yet in 2029 and a few weeks ago there has been talk of Google's AI with its own conscience and the 4Chan post of the Google worker who talked about the super advanced bots they use to force narratives in social networks. To this we add the war that began in the Ukraine and I think that this film is more topical than ever.

There are 4 terminator movies that are about John Connor Terminator 1, 2, 3 and Terminator Salvation. There's also two other newer ones from the modern day that are way different alternate storylines that have nothing to do with him Terminator Genisys and Terminator Dark Fate.
