Olbia Sardinia Travel Vlog | How To Spend a Port Day in Olbia

In today's video, I am taking you along with me to Olbia, Sardinia! This Olbia, Sardinia travel vlog is our 3rd port stop on the Virgin Voyages French Daze, Ibiza nights cruise. I have to say, before going on this trip, I had never heard of Olbia and knew very little about Sardenia, Italy, so this was the port stop that I had the least expectations or knowledge about. Despite all that, I think we had a really fun day in Olbia that was full of adventures. Olbia is definitely a place where you will want to probably rent some kind of transportation or book an excursion that can offer you transportation to the places you want to see. Without either of those two options you can definitely explore the city center on foot for a more relaxing day. We had a great time renting scooters and getting around the island, though navigating the streets was a bit of a challenge, we made it work and got back in one piece!

I mean, why didn't you guys ask a loacal? Between Olbia e Cala Miresca, there are dozens of beautiful beaches with restaurants, bars, and amenities nearby . How do I know? I'm from Olbia!!! Lol

Well…when you’re on a cruise ship you don’t really have a whole lot of time to chat up locals when you get off and only have 7ish hours total. So I tried to find interesting places to go on the internet the best I could that were close enough to port 🤷🏻‍♀️

We did it on our own!!! I still have yet to start editing any of our time in Paris but that is coming soon. We basically just went to a Monoprix (which is like their target) and bought some salads and sandwhiches, a bottle of wine etc and took it to the grassy area in the Trocadéro and sat down and had a picnic, it was great!

I guess that’s all perspective. Considering the convenience and ease factor of being able to pick it up and drop it off right off the ship, I’d say it was great. Walking into town to find another rental spot would’ve taken up more time on an already short port day 🤷🏻‍♀️
