Old Abandoned Plantation Mansion Full of Antiques
The abandoned plantation estate was built sometime around the late 1800s. It was built by a prominent family from the local area and was eventually passed down from generation to generation. It seems to have been abandoned sometime around the late 2000s. I was lucky enough to explore this beautiful abandoned mansion with my good friend @abandoned_southeast. There are several efforts underway to help restore this beauty and bring it back to life.
Rest In Paradise Rebecca. You are truly loved and missed by everyone. #Bwordliveson

I always have to remind myself when I see an abandoned home like this, dust is mainly made up of shed skin cells. If no one is living here and the windows are mostly intact, not much dust would collect compared to a home that is lived in. I Love this home. Thank you for transporting me from the confines of my house. 😙

I thought the person may have been moved to a nursing home. Changing a first floor room to a bedroom with bath indicates an elderly person. The family in the picture could be the kids and grandkids. Could easily be temporarily empty but with family coming by to take care of things.

@@natewrites7803 The family's pictures are everywhere. The family was young with 4(?) young boys with a large game table in one of the rooms. They clearly are financially on solid ground to have ever bought a house that they were willing to give outstanding patience and care to this beautiful remodel. The unfortunate thing is that in most places, you can't resell the home until the mold is remediated.

The ceilings has black mold throughout the entire house because of the holes in the roof. The windows are boarded up because they are broken from the outside. This house would take over 100k to renovate and make livable again. No one lives here and it's super obvious.

The room with the crutches, bathroom, and bed frame on the floor tell it all, some old person lived there till they either died, probably without a will and someone's in court fighting over it. Or died without relatives, in which case the local government is waiting with a hard on till they can seize it.

Wow this came across my feed today and I for one appreciate your footage as it's unlike most others that make these videos of abandoned places and is steadily shot and I didn't get nauseous from watching it lol!!! I thank you for that and for what you do as I would love to be out there with you guys doing the same because it is a huge interest to me and this house in particular really stands out for me apart from it being a absolute beauty and in great shape... I've been looking for a house exactly like this because since I was a young child I've dreamed of an exact version of this place and also drawn it out since I was small at this point I believe i had a past life in a place just like this and is the very reason I have the shared interest as to find what I believe to be a former home for me!!! And as far as everyone giving there opinion on its current status it looks like it was abandoned in the 90s at the latest but it doesn't really matter bc the point was to enjoy the footage so don't worry guys you did a great job there's those of us like myself that appreciate what you do ! Last thing it would be nice to know the location at least of this beauty for my own personal reasons I've stated of a life long search and my curiosity gets the best of me here but I understand you can't just throw out the info to protect the place from vandilism and ect..But Kudo's at least I seen it in your video to confirm it even exist!!!✌️👍❤️

Homes like this where (most likely) the owner passed & they have no family, or family that just wants it cleaned,( want no part of it), etc. The furniture is then given to Goodwill. I've seen the cleaning company just fill a giant trash trailer full of EVERYTHING in the house. When I lost my home (not my fault), I had no choice but to throw away EVERYTHING except what I could fit in my small car. I still (to this day) think about the tropical/oriental print art deco couch, and other amazing things sitting under tons of trash at the city dump.😔

Mid 1800s construction and it looks like someone is restoring it hence the original shutters in the hallway and the pile of drywall that you stepped all over. If you entered this building without the owner's permission, that is called tresspassing and is illegal.

I appreciate the history, but I cannot condone going onto property without permission. This is something I get angry about. I don't like people going onto my property without my permission, and I'm certain they wouldn't be happy about this either. Always ask for permission, because if you get hurt out there then they are responsible. Not to mention the fact that in Texas they can shoot anyone who trespasses.

This house was not abandoned, but no one lives there. It is being used to house the furniture of a family member that used to live there but passed away.

Looks like it has/had mold issues. Very hard to eliminate mold and easy to transfer to a new house on objects. If someone got really sick from mold they may have opted to literally leave everything. Such a shame. Beautiful home.

Yea it seems like this house easily could be saved. Luckily no windows are broken or open so there isn't much decay inside there.
