The pressure is usually a pressure switch in the power box on the unit telling it when to shut off. So I dont know if its adjustable in the box or not. Surprised its set that low. usually ts at least 125 p.s.i. Also if you want to up your air storage I have a video on my page that could get you another 50 gallons for just about $30.

Thanks for this, I have an older Sears model with a similar compressor, the drain and fill plugs are the same as yours. I appreciate you explaining why you don't want detergent oil in these things.

@@creep-was-here So true, that old compressor fills 10 times faster than my modern pancake compressor-and now goes to 180psi no problem.

I have a old Campbell Hausfeld FL-3305. Looks almost identical to yours. I have a pressure regulator on mine. I guess there isn't a way to post a pic on here?

I just bought an old compressor like that one . The motor on mine says 20 amps so that will blow a 15 amp fuse even if it’s working well
@ProlificInvention4 ай бұрын
That could be, although after this oil change I would still run it up to 50psi or so and never flipped a breaker. So in my oddball circumstance it did help, as probably changing the clogged air filter.

@@ProlificInvention thanks for the reply . also i noticed mine does not have a filter .any idea where i could by one or make one ?

Does the red compressor pump heat up when you run it, I’ve rebuilt mine with new gaskets and my compressor pumps heats up pretty good when I run it. Thank you for the video
@ProlificInvention4 жыл бұрын
Yes it does heat up quite a bit, and I appreciate you watching!

I just got an old Sears dual piston model that looks very similar, it had 2 broken reed valves, got it free! Aliexpress had the parts.These things can run forever! It even lets you rewire the motor for 110 or 220 by moving jumpers. Nice!
