Seeing Kratos' mouth gives such a different feel. The beard covers so much of his emotions, whether he is happy or sad, or even angry. Respect to Santa Monica studios. They worked on each and every detail. They did not merely just removed his beard and made him white but also ensured that there are no wrinkles on the face of Young Kratos and that's what gives us the vibes of GOW 3. Also the ashes have almost faded away which indicates Kratos's path to salvation. The DLC made this game even better. @rockycuro77379 ай бұрын

@@rockycuro7737 I agree to an extent but I have a tiny pitch! If he kept the beard but expressed himself someway through it intentionally. I really like the subtle details outside of the more obvious ones like the beard and faded ash/tattoo. Like his eyes. Young Kratos has a much more intense dark outline around his eyes which makes him look more menacing. This also makes canonical sense, since the nightmares young Kratos suffered over the death of his family likely would have left him with a serious case of insomnia.

The weathering on old Kratos’s skin. The bumps and moles and imperfections people naturally get as they age. The slight loosening of the skin, even though he’s still extremely fit. Such a drastic change on how Kratos accepts the throne. In GoW (1) Kratos isn't welcomed by a physical appearance of any Greek god/goddess only a statue of Athena saying he has earned the throne by killing Ares. In Valhalla, Kratos is tested by Tŷr physically and mentally, who wanted to help Kratos find that he is more than the warrior that was trained in Sparta and the former Greek GoW.

Thanks to the developers for providing the opportunity to try Greek Kratos image, but Norse is just better for me. Ashes and tattoos are partially faded so he doesn’t look too vibrant with contrasting red and white colours, his beard extends his face perfectly making him look more sophisticated and wise, also giving him more powerful image, heavier and even more muscular build also makes sense and adds authenticity. Overall better design in my opinion, the only drawback are hidden facial expressions under that gorgeous beard.

I certainly prefer the new games with their insane development and plot, gameplay, storytelling quality that stands over most of the products on the market, over the old ones, but even contradicting the main idea behind Norse trilogy games, the previous series doesn’t deserve to be rated that low compared to new one.

I think Kratos aged himself on purpose to get rid of the ashes. In Greek Mythology, the Gods choose which age they want to appear as for eternity, that’s why some Gods look old and wise and other Gods look young and beautiful. So he chose the older age so that the ashes would be more faded.

What’s crazy about the story is the fact that you see the journey that Kratos made from selling his soul to a god to becoming a god himself to losing himself in the ambition, the power, the violence, destroying everything, and then believing he is not worthy of redemption to going to the god of war, with Kratos and Atreus Seeing their journey together learning that redemption is something no one can give to you, nor can you have it in a physical form redemption comes from within yourself, learning to accept the choices that you make, and then learning from them, but most importantly, letting them go. To learning to have hope when all else is lost and seeing him except his former past, and finding solace in it, so that he can better shape a future that he wants a future, where he is respected, loved, and most of all there for others.

From the outside that's all people see is this dangerous mad man, which is where everyone misunderstand who Kratos actually is. It's never been clearer who Kratos is as it is now. It is true he is a dangerous and angry man but there is so much more to him. He is man who was raised to be a warrior, a leader, and a protector of his home. A man who was taken advantage of by a god he worshipped and trusted. He is a man in deep pain caused by the manipulations and betrayal he suffered. Everytime things started to improve or change he found himself back where it started surrounded by enemies. When he finally was safe, it was only then he realized the truth of his actions. He was forced to stare at the destruction he caused no longer able to deny that he wasn't any better than his enemies. So he decided that he was done, that all of this ended here. Except he survived and it was only through his new family and friends that he was able to understand and forgive himself. To finally figure out what it means to be better than this.

It’s like he’s arguing with his past self while being supported by his past self 😂

In the distant future in that so called Capcom/DC/ShonenJump Animated Universe I hope to create. I’ll like to just both Young and Old Kratos models for my interpretation of Bruce Wayne aka Batman. Just remove the tattoo, ashen skim, and beard, and add black hair and blue eyes and y’all get the idea. Deimos is the closes that comes to mind, in image. 😉

It's amazing how a beard can change a man.

Now that I replay the story so I can make some more side by side video I realized that when the Norns said that he will die soon, they meant that he will die in Valhalla over and over again :D

In many ways, i wished that there could of been an old kratos vs young kratos. The younger woukd of retained all of skills by the end of gow 3. But the topper would of been if the og va came back to have actual banter

Young kratos looks like he attended many a rave, or erotic party. He was the guy that shows up and suddenly everyone “has to get goin to beat the traffic”.

He did attend a good few erotic party in the games
