I don't often comment on stuff on here, but this demo is great. I play a lot of stuff like this and the Old Blood pedals are just inspiring to play through/listen to. Thanks for putting this together.

This effect reminds me a lot of the album Spirit They’ve Gone Spirit They’ve Vanished by Animal Collective- the dark yet optimistic shimmers with a ton of hidden distortion and hissing static

Somehow this video got into my yt recommendations 7 years ago. I played bass, and my last band was breaking up. I never cared for gear. Well, I kinda fell into a hole, ended up buying a guitar and probably a hundred pedals later, here I am, still no band but at least I kept playing. Thanks, I guess? 😂

wow. I usually havent cared for OBNE but this one....damn this is what I've been searching for

The riff you play at 5:30 is in a lot of your videos, which song is it? I's love to know! Cheers

Dennis, you should do a demo of the Astronaut pedal by A+. You would make it sound incredible, and delay/reverb are some of my favorite effects.

Dammit, I can't decide between this and Walrus Audio Fathom. They're pretty similar in some ways but totally different in the final sound. I love the idea of experimenting with the Dark Star because it has so many interesting and unique sounds, but I love the modulation on the Fathom. As a big sounding reverb, the Fathom is more straightforward and less weird, which makes it a bit more usable for me while still sounding amazing... but it can't do what the Dark Star can. So I guess I'll end up with both eventually. Great playing!

Why not get both?🤷♂️

Wow end of the human race music!! This pedal sounds good so what other applications besides intros can you do with it?
@colingrossbier17988 жыл бұрын
This pedal seems to be great at very downbeat, slow ambient music. Kind of like setting the mood for a song or adding some mysterious atmosphere.

@billfrank4714 жыл бұрын
I think the first one does not come with an expression input but I could be wrong. The second one has 2 jacks on the right side

Thanks for the vids! How's the level? Does it lose volume when engaged?
@louderthangod8 жыл бұрын
Mine also boosts. I've heard about the low levels on some but I think they over compensated a bit with mine. I also get some weird residuals sometimes. If I turn it off and then turn it back on later it'll jump right back to where it was particularly if I had some loud part with it when I last used it. My Red Panda Particle does this too.
@benjaminvictor49968 жыл бұрын
I have the V.2 coming. I believe it has internal trim for volume/level. Also expression jack. Will let you know what I think.
@KunchangLeeMusic5 жыл бұрын
Do you think this is different enough from the walrus slo to justify purchasing it ?
@velipyr4 жыл бұрын
This pedal is very unique. It is my favorite one I have ever owned. It has 3 different modes, so I would look into that. You can get sounds the walrus cant.
@KunchangLeeMusic4 жыл бұрын
Velipyr thanks for the reply yeah I got it and really wanted to love it - but just wasn’t for the type of music I was playing - the pedals great just not for me - ended up returning it - but yeah it’s totally different from the walrus slo - completely different feel and voice

I hate the octave sounds, really, but the pad sounds that you had for the TWDY part were incredible

This is a bitcrusher not an octaver verb :)

+Meddy BERNARD sorry but you're wrong. Just watch any of the other demos or go to the official website. There is a bit crusher as well, but there are also pitch modes.
