great demo; one of the best sounding reverb/mod to date; seems to get some really novel effects that contain subtle differences from what has been available, very subtle diffeences...very unique-sounding for a reverb-based pedal...very interesting.

and, the reverse sounds as good as any ones get, can be modified, and, sounds most "controllable..." They hit many nails on the head with this one!

The time in delay isn't a bit too limited?

Info on latency of the reverse mode, please? On these yt demos seems low. Really low on yours.
@EricMerrow5 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what the reverse time is, honestly. Latency-wise, I didn’t find any noticeable latency in the Rêver.

Hey man Thank you for the video. Quick question, Mine seems really noisy... How much power does it draw? I have a Voodoo Power Plus 2 posee supply... Any help would be really appropriated. Thank you kindly

hello, mine is really noisy too, any suggestions? I am currently using a spare earthquaker devices 9v power supply (100-1000ma) and also a spare tc electronic power supply (9v 0.67A). I have noise problems with both power supplies however the noise is louder on the earthquaker one. Any advice or power supply recommendations? thank you very much

Dude I just got mine today and I find it almost unbearably noisy when on - even with all the knobs set to zero - I don’t know what to do - at stage volumes it would be unacceptable - my amp is super quiet and lovely as soon as the pedal is turned off - the noise is all the pedal and it’s horrible

Does this reverse cause spiky playback? I have the nemesis and the tensor but getting smooth reverse to interact with my ongoing playing is unpredictably spiky.
@EricMerrow5 жыл бұрын
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by spikey playback. I think you may be hearing the front of the note that you're picking? In general when you have reverse playback, you'll definitely get those swells that end in a stark sound which is your initial pick attack. I don't notice anything out of the ordinary with the Rever's reverse playback. I hope this was helpful! Thanks for watching!

@@EricMerrow and otherwise it could be he could use any filter pedal to cut out that attack in the end? Somehow like a synth where you can change the attack.

I really like what this pedal does. From your video I finally understood what it does: it's a modulated reverb into a digital delay, then with a straight up reverse effect. (correct me if I'm wrong) Having said that, can I ask you, or perhaps any of the other pedal demo channels to compare/explain to us the differences of many pedals out there as they're different enough that similar sounds aren't easy to replicate with other pedals. For example, I tried to replicate this rever sound with my Ventris (running echoverb into reverse reverb) only to discover that no, it's reverse reverb is not a reversed reflection of what I just played. It's a highly modulated effect (like stuttering ripples of reversed reverb) that can't replicate a straight reverse. Nor can my Nemesis reverse delay, mix turned up full, replicate a straight reverse as it's also a modulated effect (stuttering spiky reverse delays). I'm wondering maybe time effect pedals can perform a standard reverse, like Tensor or CT5 (which I don't have to test)... So the question is, if it would strike a similar note with you, to share your opinions on what the pedal demo'd at hand is kind of like or kind of not like so we can have a better idea. (Or make a separate video on a effect of your choice, ie "reverse effect" pedals, and discuss what some can do or can't do.) Or maybe even an extra sentence or two of blurb in the video descriptions. Not sure if it's just me but I keep discovering what the pedals I buy are actually like when I try them myself, than from listening to demos, (for better and worse)! Shout out to all demo'ers out there!

lcglazer thanks for the comment! So the Rever, like you said, is a modulated reverb into delay. Then there is a separate reverse component to the circuit. To my ears, the reverse sounds like a standard reverse delay with a single repeat and a fairly long speed. So when you turn the reverse knob up, you’re only hearing the wet reverse delay. I’ve not had a chance to play a nemesis unfortunately, and the Tensor is a different thing completely. I like your idea of giving some context in relation to other pedals! Thanks so much!
