Only 2 minutes into this video....new sub, too. Your apology for using a bible....and an old one at that....might bring out more nay sayers But, consider this....dont you think it's quite fitting to use a Christian text to celebrate the reason there is a Christmas in the first place? This 89 year old lady finds it quite appropriate.....even endearing. So glad I found, by accident....this most interesting video. I probably wont be using our 100 year old family bible...but you can bet I'm making this...and proudly hanging it, too. Looking forward to checking out your past objects d'art....what a treat. *Recliner Babe*

What incredibly well presented instructions! There seems to be no end to your skills! The music sheets as a theme was genius and it doesn’t go unnoticed that it was so typical “Rebecca” in that it echoed your Christmas tree. I'm a HUGE lover of books, but I also know there are a LOT of just useless books that can be repurposed. As long as they're not first-editions of beautiful tomes, I don't care. In fact, even if they are, they're your property to do with as you please.

Okey dokey. You are the first I've seen. I was about to edit my comment. I agree with what you said. I just wouldn't record/reveal the pages or book contents in an art DIY. Just to keep the peace. Yes! I’ve only watched the first 5 seconds and I’m already excited. I made one a couple years ago and used music sheets too! I printed them myself because I couldn’t bear to destroy a book - even a music book. I also cut them down and trimmed the edges because I didn’t want all of the extra white space in the margins. I stained them with coffee and burned the edges to add a vintage vibe to it. I added silver and gold decorations in the middle.

Beautiful again ❤ How did you manage to store it without squashing it in the past? I've got a pool noodle wreath with all my old baubles & tinsel that's a bit easier to store. Would love to mske this as well but storage is my concern after all the effort!

Books ARE People. You could have scanned a few pages and print them out on parchment paper to simulate old pages or print them out and bake them in the over until the paper turns the shade you want. No need to destroy books OR old sheet music.

I have made MANY wreaths from old hymnals. My church gladly gave me all I needed because they were put in storage after they converted to electronic screens. I so enjoyed reminiscing the old hymns I have enjoyed over the years as I made the wreaths. So many ways to complete the centers, as well as using spiral grape vine wreaths on the back for added depth.

What you used was a COMPASS... a PROTRACTOR is a physical half circle that is marked for the angles around the whole outer edge and is used to measure the degree of angle between 2 connected lines. Also, traditionally a wreath has an empty middle like a classic doughnut.... what you have made is a MEDALION , because you the middle is obstructed.

I love this!!,,, I made a few for my family. I am one of those, about destroying books 😢 however I got creative, I used card stock, and paper in different colors. My Moms was really special. She loves elegant. So, I used white paper, gold and silver paper and then used a few pieces Of her wedding stationary!!! Then I used gold, silver Med & small Christmas balls along with strands of white pearls beads. I will send you a picture. Thanks for inspiring us 💕💕💕

I could see being upset about cutting up SOME books . You look like a very classy educated woman who appreciates literature. Now for these kinds of projects I think is BEAUTIFUL to use book pages that do not disrespect authors. What is going on with book burning politically is backward thinking, but I don’t consider using general old books for making beautiful decor any kind of sin.

I remember watching your first video, Rebecca, that's how I found Jenna DeAngelas. She has a few fabulous DIY videos. I began making them personalized for friends and family as gifts. I've found older music books also. I do understand about the value of books though, I found one and was able to sell it for $1,200.00, it was a 1st edition. I always check first.

Simply Splendid ! it's now 2023 & style never goes out of fashion. May I suggest a variation - instead of sheet music consider Christmas wrapping paper there are so many examples of fabulous design and colour themes from expensive to basic. And one can produce a different one very year and give away the previous version as a gift. This wreath concept is environmentally friendly and gets idle fingers nimble and busy.

Hi Rebecca good to see you making this beautiful item once again. Ironic that people complain about using books. The first place I ever saw this design was on our local public library's entry door. I was too tickled. I made one as well, however the books I purchased came from the thrift store so I got two books that were five by seven for $,25. And to make the pages look old I soaked a tea bag and squeezed down the brown color around the top side and bottom edges of the book. I let it dry out for a few days. I'll be making one again, but using your measurements. Love you and wish you and family a wonderful holiday season.❤❤❤

I have watched numerous DIY Christmas decoration videos. Some look pretty cringy, some are pretty good, but none of them compare to the quality and class that you bring to your projects. It might have something to do with the fact that you're a professional designer. :)
