AWSOME GUYS ! love to see the legacy continue . You are working on history and not many people now days have a clue how we got to the complicated cars of today . You boys are getting experience you cant buy . oh buy the way I got a kik out of you when you mentioned replacing seals .... what did you find out about the seal technology of the 1920's ? what no modern lip seal ? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK over 50 years ago me and my dad dug through every barn and ravine in the area to build a 1915 T panel truck , yep I have it and the memory's !

Painting the bolt treads are going to make them harder to remove later, never paint them. When the engine gets hot it will cause them to sieze. Use a tread coating fluid.

The engine serial # is at the 14.5 million mark so the car was built in November of 1926.
@weaverbrothersofficial3 жыл бұрын
Do you know if there is a way to tell who the original owner was by the serial#.
@danielcomenzo99003 жыл бұрын
@@weaverbrothersofficial There really isn't a way to track down the original owner from the serial number on the engine but if you have any old paperwork for the car that could be a start.

100% recommend removing those 2 piece valves, they will snap, good job so far though
@ronalddaub79652 жыл бұрын
You can adjust the timing on each individual cylinder after you get it running by turning the screw on the top of the coil.

Yeah I would ditch the two piece valves , also get away from the vaporizer set up .
@ronalddaub79652 жыл бұрын
I would go ahead and put Reed valves on it ⚡

Hollywood: “We got ALL these tattoos, let’s NOT sandblast the original engine and put in THE BIGGEST V8 we can find! Let’s find a NEW frame AND new fenders, etc!” Weaver Brothers: “We’ve got NO tattoos NEITHER do our elders, hey! Let’s SANDBLAST the original engine, REPAINT it, let’s SANDBLAST the original frame. We’ll repaint THAT too. We’ll use EVERYTHING original AS POSSIBLE as we can find!” If you ask me, you guys are 10x BETTER than ANY Hollywood show restoring an old car 🚘. Hope to see more in the future cause this is UNSCRIPTED.

Would you consider trading the wire spoke wheels for some authentic wooden spoke wheels?
@mafcawebmaster42373 жыл бұрын
1926 Fords used Wire Wheels, earlier years used wood spoke wheels.
@essentialjudge22793 жыл бұрын
@@mafcawebmaster4237 right. And my 27 roadster needs wire spoke wheels not wood spoke wheels.
@mafcawebmaster42373 жыл бұрын
@@essentialjudge2279 understood. But why would the 26 T owner trade for non-stock wheels?
@essentialjudge22793 жыл бұрын
@@mafcawebmaster4237 it was a joke. But, if he would. I have a basket case 27 roadster. I believe the wheels are 23 wood spokes Reconditioned on a 27 frame. The roadster wood look a lot better with lighter weight wheels as his would look better with heaver wheels. My opinion not everyones.
@mafcawebmaster42373 жыл бұрын
@@essentialjudge2279 Of course, you're entitled to your opinion. Go for it.
