Just got one of the. Brazos Loaded one. With counter weight on top door. Awesome pit. Very well made. Thick steel. First rack of chicken turned out grrrreat! The best for your $$$ for sure.

The firebox is 3/8" thick plus 2" of mineral wool insulation. The inner shell is 1/4" thick , then 2" of mineral wool insulation and the outer shell is 1/8" thick. This design saves wood, delivers great results and it is safer to be around

The new G2 looks very promising. The lid on this one has me questioning the ability to seal off.
