I call you folks, 'Grave Whisperers'. I have always felt, that when one goes to a graveyard...any graveyard...and reads aloud the names upon the memorial stones, it means, that that departed Soul...lives again, upon the winds and your lips, ...the name once more spoken amongst the Living. I do this as well...especially with American Civil War memorials....and I also touch the stone as I read out-loud the names of the departed...and I always say, "Sir or Madam, Madam or Sir, or youngster, YOU, are remembered. Your name is spoken! You once walked this earth as I, God rest you!".

I think that’s a lovely title for them both, as they do get the spirits talking to them….the little girl thanked Sue for visiting ! Which is so touching. We won’t know for sure until we transition ourselves , but after death you automatically assume their spirit ascends to heaven, not staying in their graves! But it appears that some spirits prefer to come to visit where there mortal remains were laid, so must travel back and forth when allowed by Jesus.I know they can watch us from Heaven, see us in our homes, taking flowers to the graves, so are quite aware of what is going on with their families and friends.some are able to leave messages for their loved ones to show they are still around. So Grave Whisperer…..stay true to your link with spirit…you are both very Fey and I’ve watched you grow and become more comfortable doing this. Remember when “Irish Eyes’ just used to go with Sue and hold the torch to read the grave letterings ? And then he grabbed a camera and started doing Grave Visitations and has gone from strength to strength with some stunning photography, and giving us history of what we are looking, and gives us time to read the inscriptions. Not many people who say they do this sort of work can hold a candle to Serenity Sue or GV. I feel we are extremely lucky to have them as our guides and to be taken to some really wonderful resting places,. Doing detective work sometimes to find graves or names, but always a great group of subscribers who support them and try to help research or make enquiries to come up with answers …a Great lot of friends! So Thankyou both….we know you go out in all weathers, get wet feet, muddled clothes, all to make sure your video has some good content, and you never ever disappoint us! Godbless you both and keep you safe. Love and Light! Love Helen xx. 👩‍🦳💕🫶😘😘💐🙏🕊️

This video is an outstanding record of those buried in this cemetary caught my imagination in so many ways, quite apart from the gorgeous scenery, there is a special feeling here ,Balfour and Herbert connection s way back to Wales! ? Maybe, I have not seen skeletal remains so complete, its a real education to me, and amazed by the knowledge you had to acquire to make such a presentation photography exceptional to catch the detail of the bee!

Thank you so much for taking us on this fascinating tour. I've never seen anything like these crypts before and what an education. So much workmanship in the design of these stones and crypts -- so beautiful. We are surprised that crypts don't seem to exist here in Ontario, Canada. So many families from Ireland came over here in the 1800s, including my husband's family, McCrae. I was hoping to possibly find these crypts at a cemetery near the Irish Block, a settlement from the 1800s here in Grey County, but no. Again thank you

The idea that the older vault is "definitely a shroud burial" is silly. As @hansberls6524 pointed out, there is a coffin handle clearly showing among the remains. Also, even back in the medieval ages, only those too poor for a coffin would be buried in only a shroud. Anyone important or well-off enough to rest in a private vault would hava had a coffin. Most wooden coffins decompose relatively quickly leaving very little trace. Even victorian lead-lined ones in vaults completely protected from weather and wetness usually have the outer wood completely rotted away after 'only' some 150 years.

Hi IE! Thanks for a fascinating graveyard tour. I think that Celtic cross is the most impressive I've seen. The vault with the bones has a medieval look. It may well have been the first grave on the site. I'm guessing the painted markers are Famine graves.

In the grave you thought was from the 1500's ISN"T I saw a coffin handle above the skull on the left side that you thought was a young person. Likely 1700/early 1800's. The slate stones are falling into the vault plus years of leaf debris and rain have caused the coffins to rot away and is lying below the debrs field.

This was so amazing!!! Apparently, the motto you found on the one headstone "Vincente Dabitur" is the motto of the family. It means "It shall be given to the conqueror". The family crest is what you saw, and it is a bear out of a Ducat coronet. At least that is what I've been able to find out!! Sorry Hans Berls! Honestly just was very grim to see that plaque for Maurice Hussey be desecrated with graffiti by Rachel and Brian and so on... Especially with the rest of the chamber being whitewashed, they chose the single point remembering a historical figure and (more importantly) father to scrawl their names. Brilliant tour and video, but this graffiti is really a bummer to see!

As an American, years ago, only the wealthy would have fancy "American" caskets, most folks would have had a shroud, or the old Pine casket. Great video, gonna take me a while to catch up to your newer videos, good thing I'm retired lol

I would like to thank you for this video the Martins are my mothers family and we have never been able to get any of the information on them until tonight we managed to snag some of the information off this video and compare it to the family bible I'd love to have photos of their graves but having the name of the cemetery was so much more to me so thank you. Now if I could find the Kiley family over in your kneck of the woods they went by Kiely. it changed when they came to America. to Kiley.

Hello GV….I wish they would put some railings along the top of the stair entrance to these vaults! It’s quite dangerous that someone could so easily step back and fall down, or even be crossing the grave yard at night, not seeing the step entrance take a bad tumble and get badly hurt! . What I read as regards midnight funerals Ike that man Maurice Hussey buried at midnight carried by his 4sons by torchlight in 1714, was that back then ( as now) the coffin wasn’t left alone and a wake was held, so friends, neighbours etc could all come and raise a glass and pay their respects to the deceased . But in those days people had to work during the day, and maybe had to walk some distance to get to where the funeral was to be held. So they would often pay their respects Then leave to the actual family to complete the burial,or placing into the family vault. Do you agree with this GV? I always prefer to ask a native of the country involved to get the real truth? So many stories Change over the years, 17.14 was a very long time ago, but nice for Maurice that his four sons carried his coffin on his final journey. Rest in peace Maurice, and of course your four sons and their families who will all have joined you by now. Reunited in Gods Love.🕊️🙏👩‍🦳💐🕊️😘💕💐💕💐👩‍🦳💕🫶🙏🕊️💐

I'm just happy you showed the long pyramid type Graves. We have those in a small area in the Southern US. People think they are witch Graves. I keep telling them no. Now I know where the tradition comes from. Thank you! A mirror is helpful for reading grave writings. Just don't use the mirror for anything else. Yes I'm superstitious.
