Having that sleeve out would have been a great time to run some fluids and rust breaking compounds into the coolant channels.. They look a little rusty/crusty.

Neat trick too, put the block in the direct sunlight or maybe the oven at 125 for a few minutes while you put the sleeve in the freezer for a few hours. They'll slip right together.
