Holy smokes, you DID IT. One of the more advanced restorations I can remember viewing on your channel. The value that you rescue from your projects is inspiring, skills like yours will always be in demand. Just fascinating to watch imo...

Great looking restoration I also like the color you used I think you nailed it on color it looks like the old school heavy equipment color you would see back in the 60's and 70's. You have a good eye for detail. Enjoyed the video keep them coming. Thanks

There was a bazillion parts to this. I don’t know how you remember how to put it all back together. Once again love to watch

A very substantial reclamation of an originally well made drill stand,well worth the effort you put into the not easy task,your finished drill press was imaculate,definitely gets a 5 ☆ review

Having total flashback to 7th grade wood shop class right now. Think 1993 or something. It was my homeroom too so an extra hour a day plus an hour of reading time. Only class in school where you had to read at a woodworking table and not a desk. Lol. But I remember the drill press the most.

Fantastic job and result! There's one thing though, see if you can invest in a proper (ratcheting) crimp tool for the electrical crimp connections. Relying on just your muscles and flattening them with regular pliers is not the right way. Thumbs up for applying heat shrink over them though. While normally not necessary, it's paying nice attention to detail. When the wires come loose, the wires will be held in place at least.

Very nice drill What make is it? They don't make them like that anymore.. I want one! Whenever removing press-fit parts, especially from old equipment, I prefer to use a hot air gun, hot water or a combination of the too - much less risk of damage to the mating surfaces compared to using brute force alone.Why were the small parts baked? Were you using some special kind of paint?Also, what paint remover are you using? It seems to be very effective!
@Godzilla2k694 жыл бұрын
Several questions: 1) What make and model is the drill press ? 2) Did you replace the chuck ? 3) Did you ever measure the run-out after the restoration ? Very nice job. Quality work.
