It's great to see somebody resurrect such a wonderful tool. Unfortunately most people would have junked it and paid as much money for a comparatively lightly built machine which wouldn't last anywhere near what this machine will. Thank you for doing such a great job in documenting your efforts.

Nice restoration...and the fun thing about restoring tools like this, is that you'll then have another tool to use to restore more things. :)

WOW!! What a machine! Wonderful job restoring it. A long lifetime of use to be available for using this drill press. One of the most amazing machines I've seen and what a beautiful addition to any shop. As most of these comments say, I, too, am jealous, but I am a woodworker and have no justification for such a wonderful machine. I am happy to see it restored and hope you enjoy something that few will ever even see. I have never seen a gear driven drill press before and i think it is a wonderful machine. Have fun with it and good luck. It is something that will last an amazing time and someone will be lucky to inherit it for another lifetime of use.

@@DeviloftheHelll I don’t know where you buy German tools, and if you buy in the internet it is often fake made in Germany. But when you buy at an official licensed dealer you get „ made in Germany 🇩🇪 „ and I agree, it is not! cheap but worth it. And why do you think, Chinese are crazy to copy German products? Produce cheap, messy quality and find all those i..... who think they could make a bargain all the time.
@DeviloftheHelll4 жыл бұрын
@@michaelvollmer9491 its a local distributor from that brand, and all of their products are clearly made in china with shitty workmanship and non existent quality control, you can tell from a machine tool where is it made from the quality, and tolerances

@@DeviloftheHelll That is really bad and sure i would be pissed too. I hope that you have an alternative Distributor for your needs. Yes!! Thanks a lot. I have a 3d printer set up so for me it's easier to draw a precise plate on cad and print. After I'm sure it fits everything i could use it as tempalte for steel but for something like this plastic is fine I hope.
