Hey house lovers and explorer's! This old gem I filmed last year and it was abandoned around 1990 judging by dates on things left behind. more old newspapers under and pressed tin ceilings suggest the front part of the home was built in the late 1800s with an extensive rear addition not to far into the 1900s again showing a hard working farm adapting when money was coming in. dates on old newspaper and doors suggest the old home got a revamp in the early 40 perhaps after the 1st generation owners passed away. old caravan and she'd out the back make this one a very enjoyable explore. Hope you all enjoy the tour. Cheers for watching 👍😁

Hey Paul. Thanks for another great video. We tend to forget that there have been years and years before we came along. It's so interesting to learn about the people before us who brought us to where we are today. Looking at the newspapers reminds me that there was wars going on when this house was built. And possibly young men from this farm who died in them. Being a mother I tend to relate to the mother's of that time. I even remember the copper to boil water for a bath. Let's not forget our past. Thank you for the journey back in time. 🇦🇺🐎🐕🍺

Seems like an awful lot of decay in thirty years, thirty years is not much at my perspective. Never worry about focusing on the floor or under it and newspapers there, I like to pause, zoom, observe and read! Thanks for the tour Paul! 👍🤠

Excellent video! The exterior was awesome. The homes that have so much deterioration I find so interesting to look at. Each one unique in its own way. It shows the different layers and how it was originally built. The pressed tin was fantastic. You’ve shared so many of there gems, that we can imagine how it may have looked in days gone by. Thank you so much!

Always enjoy your videos thank you.I love looking at the newspapers especially the sales ads.The prices compared to today were so cheap in ut if you lived back then you know money was very hard to come by.,especially a job paying 50cents an hour.I remember my Dad paying 30dollars a month house rent,he worked very hard for us to eat and have a roof over our heads.Memories❤️👍🇺🇸

That paper you found dated 23 January 1942, my mum would have been 13 days old when that paper was printed. Thanks for finding one almost as old as my mum. Had missed watching these great videos of these old homes, while my tablet was being repaired.

Paul, it’s hard to look at some of these absolute gems in their decay considering what each represented and provided to the generations who built, lived, toiled and finally handed on. Many of these are actually retrievable in the right set of hands, regardless of apparent present condition or location. Keep up the great work. Central Vic

Hi James 🙂 yes the lives already lived in these homes and the work done on farms along the way. I agree many of these are able to be saved but i guess it takes people to be aware they are there and then be interested and able. Cheers for watching 🙂👍

Thanks, Paul ... as always a great video. The field stone walls which were built way back then must have taken some time to complete and render. Like others who watch your offerings, I'd like to see this house in its prime.

Another great find. I hope the fires haven’t been bothering you although I know you are in SA and they are in VIC, I know you travel over that way. Some of us do keep up on the fires down there and as early as it is here there have been some nasty big fires in Texas and Wyoming. Not even spring yet in some of our areas. Texas is burning and we’re still getting snow at my house.

Pins? rods & bracing are better wording but I'm not a builder. Don't kid yourself snakes are out. Home has been stripped out over the years. Not sure about 1990 shift out as not many power outlets but could have been frugal older couple existing in the 50s.
