@skwerly girly You use bone broth for flavor and nutrients. Some people do eat the bone after it's cooked for long periods. Chef June Xie from Delish loves eating bone after it becomes soft but crunchy after a second bake in the oven. Bake the bones first, then boil with your stew broth, remove, bake and eat. It may have been in her August 1, 2020 episode.

@skwerly girly But tastes amazing! 😋 I was a omnivore, then a vegetarian and now I'm an omnivore again so I get your pov. I personally feel healthier on my current diet, just as someone with lyme disease does better on a strict carnivore diet. Everyone should consult with their physician to make sure they're getting proper nutrients.

We need to access our lives if we think Sara is a chef, genius....or spectacular. She just tries stuff. She eats with her eyes.if it looks yummy (so childish). She eats. Ham is scary for blood pressure issues. Salty. She’s no doubt had acceptance issues all her life.....now she’s found something that gets her compliments and positive attention. She fixes dinner. No telling how much she fantasizes the whole process.

I had an orange sitting on my counter so I zested it over the ham, sliced up the orange and lined the bottom of the pan, set the ham on top and squeezed out the juices from leftover pieces on top of the ham. Baked at 500 for 10mins to create a crust, then covered with foil, reduced heat to 250 for about 1hr and a half. Removed and applied the glaze, another 15mins and then super sweet and citrusy!

Sorry to see it didn't work out :( the surface looked very rubbery, not at all crispy, and you can see how the meat ruptured underneath it very noticeably and basically ballooned out. The fruit looked dried out and burnt rather than caramelized, and overall the meat was probably very dry despite sitting in that bath of liquid (most of which would have been the meat's juices just draining into the pan and wasted). Here are a few tips: let the ham come to room temperature before putting it into the oven, to ensure it cooks evenly; don't put it in at a high temp, as bone-in meat is a low and slow cook (this was probably your single biggest mistake, leading to the moisture loss and rupturing); and don't put the glaze on straight from the beginning. The glaze is something you build-up, not just dump on and forget about. Do some research and consider taking some cooking classes, and it you'll avoid wasting money on expensive meats like this one and the Christmas prime rib.

Their are people who can’t cook or do ANYTHING simple- change a tire or set their own alarm clock or do anything for themselves. 🙄 I’ve coined a phrase for individuals like that, people who have paid thousands of dollars for an education and yet have no basic life skills; their called educated fools.

You were eating healthier for a while, Sara. What happened? You're so sweet and lovely....but you could do SO much good for YOU, your husband, your family AND your followers by cooking similar meals in a healthier way. Eating this way is not sustainable for a long life. :(
